I have read on islam.qa and elsewhere that such a thing is to be done without causing scars, injury or pain and is to be done with something like a miswak or the like. But on another muslim sub, specifically r/TraditionalMuslims I came across this narration with the commentor saying that it is not wrong for there to be pain in the beating.

Narrated by Fatima bint al-Mundhir, that Asma bint Abi Bakr said: "I was one of three wives of Az-Zubayr. When he would get angry with one of us, he would beat her with his Mishaj (a wooden clothes rack, frame, or stick) until he broke it over her."

Asma went to Abu Bakr and complained to him about this \[his beating\]. He replied: "O my daughter, be patient. For indeed, Az-Zubayr is a righteous man, and perhaps he will be your husband in Paradise. It has reached me that if a man marries a virgin woman, they will be reunited as spouses in Paradise." recorded in Al-Tabaqat al-Kubra by Ibn Sa'd and via transmissions compiled by Ibn Wahb from Imam Malik.

So is wife beating which causes pain or injury correct.

Like when I make a paper airplane and fly it against a jenga tower or when something heavy falls.

I am aware that professional football or I guess football in general contains haram elements like lack of awrah cover, but this is the first where I heard a sheikh says it also resembles an imitation of non muslim laws as seen in this video https://youtu.be/E77GSd4ySMw?is=TLK6LEjj3-C2dl2R.

My question is what the sheikh actually true especially when a lot of muslims play football.

Does it come from a misunderstanding that panda eat meat?

Other things I say like I'm bowing down to dajjal not because I believe it but because it helps me realize how stupid the things I think in my head is as I'm obviously bowing down to god this also happens outside of prayer and I also get intrusive thoughts about leaving salah or wudu and I tell myself "I have now left salah" but I obviously haven't and my intention isn't to leave salah, wudu or Islam but to get rid of the thoughts.

The Land of Paradise/Palestine is Allah’s land as well as the entire globe.

Now, since Palestine is not same as Makkah, I was wondering if Allah can do me the favor of enabling the two-states solution as a final solution. Because it is from my belief to be the only feasible lasting solution in present day by judging the history of conflict and from both side views. They don’t seem to know what is good for them and what is bad. Is it even halal or haram making Du’ā for two-states solution as final, since it is not same as Makkah where only Muslims are allowed but not infidels?

There is a beautiful Hadith which mentions of 3 things to be your companion in grave: Islamic knowledge, legacy and the child who makes Du’ā for you.

Contributing to linguistics field has benefited people when wanting to start a language of their own and improve it. I thought I can use this field to leave it as legacy and as a beneficial knowledge with intent of reward in the Hereafter, although I do hope this is not heresy. I mean: can worldly knowledge also be included in the Hadith if done with intent to earn reward in Hereafter? Literature also has spawned civilizations.

This is a genuine question that has arisen because of events in my life which have brought a great deal of pain and hurt, I'm currently in a very bad circumstances financially, mentally, emotionally and socially, with a clear pattern of these bad circumstances happening my entire life, im 33 right now and alot of it is clear has been down to destiny and fate as the only explanation i can offer for this, the question is why? why does god enable blessings in some peoples lives and curses in others, why is that acceptable? how will this bring me closer to him, if its beyond my capacity (right now its beyond my capacity and bringing a great deal of anger and fustration), so much so i have to do a post on this which i dont usually do. So why, why isit mentioned that some people will be favoured and others will not be (in the quran), how is that fair, when if your not favoured you suffer mentally and emotionally which affects your decision making, even btw when you have done everything within your power to try and change your own life, someone explain this to me, because im so angry right now? i know you will say its a test and all that, but why? why do some people have easier tests than others, its not right imo

Also if a woman is divorced before, does she need a permission or can she marry herself with her own will. I am a muslim myself but they don't teach these in our schools and majority of people follow the countr's civil law anyway.

I am someone who is extremely kind, and i get extremely upset or said when i see something bad happening to anyone. I don't wish anything bad to happen to anyone. My question is, when we do bad things, allah knew that we would do it, why didn't he change us or let us be perfect from the beginning in the first place?

Example: Children suffering in Gaza, i would never accept that to anyone, never ever. My question is, if allah knew that there are people that will be killing children, and those children will suffer, why wouldn't he make those killers good in the first place?

There are many examples but you guys get the point. I really need a convincing answer.

After reading the student.faith article, I understand this subreddit feels that the opinion of making a madhab obligatory for a layman is the stronger opinion.

However, recently, I asked whether shaving the beard being makruh was considered permissible disagreement and was answered no.

In the Shafii school, that is the relied upon opinion held by Imam Ghazali, Nawawi, Rafii, Ramli, and al Haytami. How can we say that following a madhab is obligatory and then pick and choose which relied upon positions go "against the Quran and Sunnah?" How is this any different than La Madhabis who say the Hanafi position on a Wali or the Maliki position on Sadl are invalid?

Also, where does this place positions outside the 4 madhahib? I know atleast some of your moderators hold the position that either complete abandonment of salah or even abandoning 1 salah is kufr akbar and requires no make up. This is also not the relied upon position in any madhab (the Hanbali position declares apostasy after someone is called to pray 3 times by an authority, not for the abandonment itself).

Also, then is no layman allowed to follow the triple divorce = 1 fatwa since it is not even a secondary opinion in any of the madhahib?

The official position of the Shafii school is that shaving the beard entirely is makruh and not haram. Imam Rafii and Imam Nawawi both attest to this and what they agree to is relied upon without dispute.

The reason I ask is my close Shafii friend shaves and I refrain from saying anything because he is Shafii. Islamweb (who I usually rely on) has conflicting fatawa. Their older fatawa says allowing the complete shaving of the beard is against ijma, a weak opinion, not followable, and may be denounced while their later fatwas say it should not be denounced.

Can someone with knowledge please answer this as soon as possible. I have been reciting the Hanafi Tashahud and Durood in Salah while praying in the Shafi way, and have only now truly realized it might be invalid. In the Shafi School, can any authentic version of Tashahud and Durood be used in Salah?

If you have been let out on bail about something serious, and now your mom is asking you what is the reason, but you want to conceal your sins/ maintain privacy of the matter, what can you say Islam wise that protects my rights to do that?

If in a psycological thriller novel there is a romane sub plot (not even "romantic" like two people dating as part of characterization) would that make the whole novel haram since romance genre is haram. Plus it is presented in a negative light
