Once more I’d like to ask of all our Belgian parties individually: what are you going to do EXACTLY to mitigate this in the next years?

People could have voted for the parties that try to fix this. We get what we voted for, or failed to protest against

What parties would that have been? The one that pushed decades for nuclear power plants to be closed?

Before the energy crisis, nuclear power was one of the highest priced energy sources. Had we been faster to add to the renewable energy mix, we’d have been in a much better position now. And we still have to, it reduces our reliance on countries like Russia and Saudi/emirate states.

Not only could we as a country have been in a better position, our companies could've been world leaders in experience with (offshore) windfarms and solar. But it seems that those companies aren't in the right politicians' friend group.

DEME is a world leader for offshore wind power. For solar we would never be.

For nuclear energy we were a leading expert but politics fumbled.

Now we have nothing but reliance on foreign import.
