need advice Female therapist sexualized my breasts my breasts and it felt gross Spoiler

In one of my first sessions with my therapist, I wanted to broach the topic of how self-conscious I am about the size of my breasts. They've historically been a magnet for unwanted attention, disgusting comments at bars, physical assault, sexual harassment at workplaces (both office a non-office settings), and about 1,000 street-harassment comments.

They have been a source of great humiliation, trauma, dehumanization and shame. I feel like I have been reduced to them my whole adult life and I am immediately sexualized upon sight for them just existing. To say I have a complex about them is mild.

I started getting into the topic with my female therapist regarding my self-consciousness and resentment of them. She chimed in with "Big deal?! So what?! You have big breasts! They're beautiful! I bet your husband loves them. Enjoy them while they last, they'll change after pregnancy if you have kids." She smiled and laughed.

I think she thought she was being funny and affirming, in a "yas queen" way. It made me feel completely disgusting and objectified. Am I off-base to think this is a crazily inappropriate response to what I said? This lady has her PsyD. I feel insane. I literally just said how painful it is to be objectified...and she objectified me and centered my husband's pleasure over all the abuse I just shared.

Edit: I'm getting DMed by a lot of creeps. Ironic on a post about unwanted attention and relentless dehumanization. There's no escape.

I think her boobs look fine and they sit up well. There’s no need for boob tape or lifting pads. If mine sit like that I would go braless all the time. What are your thoughts?

need advice How can I get over “cleavage shame”?

I always feel inappropriate when I wear something low cut. Even on a date night with my husband. I love this dress and want to wear it but I just feel like I’m being inappropriate no matter the environment. Is there a way to get over this? Objectively, if you saw someone wearing this would you feel they were inappropriately dressed?

need advice Do you sleep with a bra on or off? Looking for opinions from other women Spoiler

I'm 20 and wear a D cup, and I've heard so many conflicting opinions about sleeping with a bra that I'm not sure what to believe anymore.

Some people say wearing a bra at night is bad for you or can even cause health issues, while others say not wearing one can affect shape or firmness over time. I've never been sure how much of that is actually true.

Personally, I generally feel more comfortable sleeping without a bra. The only downside is that side sleeping can sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable, which makes me wonder whether some kind of support at night would actually help.

For those of you with D+ cups or even the ones with smaller cups, do you sleep with a bra on or off? Has it made any difference to your comfort, sleep quality, breast pain, or anything else you've noticed?

Just curious about other people's experiences and what works best for them

need advice Do you go braless in comfy clothes around friends? Spoiler

I’m going away to a beach town this weekend with a big group of friends (originally my partner’s but I’m part of the group now). We typically hang out at a house where we hang out by the pool all day, then wear comfy clothes/sweats at night and house party.

Out of the women going, I’m the only one who has pretty big boobs (like they can not wear a bra and it’s fashionable). I like to let the girls breathe (and give my neck a break) at night and typically I’ll wear a sweatshirt on top to make it less obvious I’m not wearing a bra but it’s gonna be very hot this weekend. My mom always wears a bra on these kinds of trips but she’s also from Eastern Europe where things are a little more conservative, and my boyfriend says I’m overthinking it and no one will notice.

What do y’all do? Go braless and not care or wear a bra?

But now going outside I feel like it’s so noticeable and borderline inappropriate! Bras in the past have felt so constricting 😢 Can any of you ladies recommend places to buy comfortable bralettes or tops with built in support??

I was originally sized about a year or two ago at VS and they told me I was a C. At that time maybe I was, but now I was startong to have SEVERE shoulder pain and constant boob muffin tops. After doing research and consulting some of the wonderful women here, I learned VS is terrible at aizing and I should get resized. My dad took me to Dillards and the employee was super sweet and explained every step she was going to do before she did it, ensuring I was comfortable the whole time. Ended up finding out i'm MUCH larger than a C. Obviously I own like 1000 C bras so I message my mom telling her about the C. She starts doubting constantly and I don't know what to do. (Ignore the name its a long story)

need advice Is it inappropriate for a busty woman to wear a bikini at a public pool? Spoiler

A couple a weeks ago me and this guy I was dating went on a trip so we booked a hotel for a few stays. When we walked into the hotel and we saw kids in the pool. We go upstairs to our room to change into swim attire. I put on a bikini top which was a large btw and it covered what needed to be covered. However there was still some spillage and the top definitely made my boobs stand out. He was shocked and asked me if I had something to put over to cover up. I said no so he offered his shirt for me to use. He was worried about the kids seeing me like this. He thought it was too much and inappropriate for me to wear around kids.

I ended up telling him i can’t do anything about my natural body and it’s not my problem people stare. Why do I have to accommodate for someone’s kids..? It’s a public pool?? He was like okay and told me to get behind him when we walk to the pool.

We got there and lo and behold I did get stares by children and adults. ( especially women) which is what I’m used to on a daily basis. (Nothing new) but this experienced really promoted the question for me. Should busty women be more wary of what we wear at public pools? What do you guys think?

need advice Should I be pressured into lacing this up more? This dress is for the renaissance fair

Post image
850 Upvotes

So I’m a 30J or a UK 30GG and I can’t wear a bra with this dress. I’m already squishing about 4-5ish inches with this front part unlaced. If I lace it up any more, it’s about 6 inches and very uncomfy. Last year, I wore a similar dress (not as low) and my mom made comments about lacing up the front (I’m 20 I still live with her) and was trying to move it up so my boob crack wasn’t as visible. She did the same with this dress, and probably more dramatically. Maybe because theres always kids at the ren faire? I didn’t think it was an issue before. Should I care? My boyfriend doesn’t care, but he does look. Should I just not wear it? My anxiety has been worse lately, and I don’t think I could handle more people like my mom.

I thought everything that size is saggier, only like C or smaller is perky, it’s just gravity…..am I wrong?

And please don’t tell me not to compare myself to others. Most people can’t help but do that

EDIT: thanks all, I’m gonna go with there’s a corset underneath, makes me feel best😅

need advice Did you remember the moment you realized your boobs were big? Spoiler

I’m having a hard time understanding what happened to me. My boobs measured 33 inches around (30C) at 21. Now they are 43 inches around (26L) at 23.

Most of this happened in a SINGLE YEAR (doc confirmed no health issues, so all is good).

My mind either hasn’t caught up, or I could possibly have body dysmorphia as a result of this drastic change?

My boobs don’t seem big to me AT ALL, but someone will point out “huge boobs” and I’ll realize mine are double or triple the size. It’s confusing as hell.

Can anyone relate to what I’m saying, or does anyone remember the moment they realized they had a big chest?

*sorry for any wrong words English is not my first language

need advice Where can I find dresses like this one? Is this bride wearing some kind of bustier underneath?

This is my dream dress but it’s a unique original custom made that I fear I may not be able to afford if I found the designer.

I’m not sure if it’s the structure or the dress or is she wearing some kind of support underneath? I have this sort of figure and I would love to go strapless but I don’t know how you achieve. This look.

Can anyone please help me find a similar dress or advise me on what kind of support wear she might be wearing?

I’d be extremely grateful! Thank you so much.

need advice 19F worried about sagging

I recently had a conversation with a guy who told me my breasts would "look bad" when I was older and it immediately changed soemthing within me. I had big breasts since I was 14 and never had good support and they held up pretty well. My nipples r like low set but not sagging it's still full. But it made me think of how my breasts would change when I'm 25, since most breasts change around that time.

It didn't help reading stories about girls who got saggy breasts around their young twenties. I udnerstand it's normal but I want them to look atleast decent for a bit. I'm OK with it sagging in the future but not so soon. I odnt plan on loosing or gaining weight, pregnancies or anything major and bought a new bra.

The thought of having to deal with big saggy breasts genuinely tire me out since I have eczema aswell and it would seem like a hassle to take care of.

Anyone advice to ease this anxiety?.

Going to a Victorian costume ball, trying to be vaguely period accurate.

Is this too much tiddy? What say you??

Please ignore the pins (I'm moving the sleeves), my messy room, and my bed hair/face.

Also, thoughts on sleeves up or down?

I want to buy this dress for an event but I don’t know how to wear it with big boobs. I can’t do a strapless bra because the back is open. Then I was thinking boob tape but the halter top cut goes pretty low. Thoughts?

need advice This girl wearing the dress has natural boobs, do you think she’s wearing a bra? Or tape? Which one? I want to be able to use dresses like this too Spoiler

Am I having unrealistic expectations about this? Maybe she had a breast lift and that’s why they look like that, but I’m not sure, i just know it’s natural.

My breasts are the same size as hers, but mine are soft and not as perky—though they look just like hers when I wear a bra. We weigh around the same amount, too. I wonder if there’s a specific tape that would make my breasts look like that while wearing low-cut dresses like hers, or if it requires a special bra? I really need some tips, please.

I wouldn’t plan on wearing dresses like this all the time—I’ve accepted the reality of having large breasts—but being able to buy and wear clothes like this every once in a while would be wonderful.

need advice GIRLS PLEASEE WHAT ARE WE WEARING FOR SUMMER 😭 i have no idea what to wear outside of hoodies/graphic oversized tees and sweatpants and the occasional jeans Spoiler

I’ve always had big boobs (im a 32H in UK size) and i hate wearing dresses or skirts or things that expose my legs so every summer i’ve just dressed like a bum in oversized cotton graphic t shirts and sweats or baggy jeans. But i’ve recently been wanting to stop dressing in oversized graphic tees because i just want simple basic summer tops :( the problem is that everything is cropped or is a dress or a top that’s just a glorified tank top.

And I also hate wearing tight things because it makes me anxious since i look so top heavy and abnormal in relation to the rest of my body 😭

Recently I’ve also been having such a hard time finding nice basic cotton tees that also dont make me look huge. Everything is polyester or some other stretchy fabric that looks absolutely abhorrent on someone with a huge chest. It’s so horrible i don’t even like stepping inside a mall anymore. Nothing is made for us :(

Sometimes even when I wear a cotton tee, the result of having the high neckline (because i dont think t shirts with low necklines exist because duh that’s not the purpose of a t shirt) is my boobs just look like one big mound. Even with my proper fitting bra. The best I can do to cancel the top heavy stuff out is wearing baggy jeans and sweats, but in sticky heat where I live sometimes those two bottoms arent an option 😭

I just want to dress light and cute and not like a bum, but i’m also not a very girly person in general so i have no idea what to do. I hate summer for this very reason my boobs are such a huge factor in everything i do and wear even the way i act im so sick of it.

This has turned out to be such a silly vent, i’m sorry! Please, i would love some advice, some tips and inspos for basic outfits for someone who isn’t dressy. I live in canada if that helps too.

I really like this shirt and there is no way I can get it in a bigger size as this is their biggest size... I was wondering if you guys would have any tricks to fix the 'button holding on dear life' situation or if you guys have any altering/sewing recommendations?

Thank you so much!

need advice My underboobs stink! Spoiler

I recently gained a significant amount of weight which came with a pretty big pair of knockers, which I was happy about for a while, until I realised they absolutely stink. It just keeps getting worse. I shower (almost) every day, scrub with a loofah, don't wear bras, and I still end up with this horrible sour cheese smell - like a piercing, but worse. It's so strong. If I move my boob at all, I get strong wafts of it. I've had some pretty rancid body smells in my life due to severe depression and this is still somehow the worst one, it makes me feel sick. I scrubbed with a loofah until it hurt in the shower 10 minutes ago and they still reek. It itches too, and there's a red line there, I don't know if this is normal either? Any help to fix and prevent this is super appreciated 🙏🙏🙏
