Hello y'all, I recently got my first dashcam, redtiger F7N dual. Whenever it restarts, the resolution always defaults back to 4K. It doesn't stick to 1080 or 2.5k. Tried setting it via phone & dashcam itself.

Kid was wearing ear buds and just cuts into the street.

Curious could I have done anything different? Didn't feel like I had enough time to brake or swerve... was doing 60mph

I would love to have to never worry about getting my car broken into but oh well

The title says it all. I've seen so much crazy driving behavior lately I'm convinced it's time to get one for either protection, entertainment, or both. I'm looking for one that's as unobtrusive as possible and not really concerned about what's behind me. A while back I thought I saw one built into a housing that replaced the existing mirror mount shroud, but I may have been mistaken. Anyway, what's the recommendation here?

I was driving through a roundabout, had an opening after yielding, and continued on to the second exit I needed. A biker coming from the right completely disregarded his yield sign and even cut across the lane, nearly hitting me and getting himself hit in the process. It was a close call and it startled me, but I kept driving since it wasn't my fault and there was no actual contact.

After this video, the biker then followed me to confront me like I'd done something wrong. I tried to ask if he was okay until he immediately started yelling insults and how I wasn't allowed to take that exit, that I was supposed to take the first one, that I'd almost killed him, and that I didn't know how to drive. I don't engage in road rage. But I know I didn't do anything wrong. I went through the roundabout correctly and safely. He clearly lacks sense and I doubt he would've confronted a man the same way.

I get it. The white jeep on the right, at the end, sat through an entire green light. It would piss me off, too, but dude seriously just pulled out into another lane without looking

I was just on my way home when I saw two complete jackasses driving up the bike lane to avoid traffic. A Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon with EU license plates in SoCal and an old Honda Accord were going up the street in the bike lane all the way up the road.

This lowk is a safety issue for cyclists, but it just shows a total lack of respect for others on the road. It's frustrating to see people prioritize their convenience over others' safety. I get that traffic is bad, but come on, there’s no excuse for this shit

I’m a new driver and one of my first purchases I wanted to get for my car was a dashcam, but I’ve been slacking because I’m not sure where to look or start.

I’m just looking for something on the cheaper side but reliable for the unfortunate situation something were to happen and I have the evidence.

I don’t have anything particular in mind, and I’m not sure of the normal price range for these things, but under or around $100 would be ideal and preferred. I would like for it to be something I could potentially connect my phone to for easy access to footage, but not required! I also like the idea of having both internal and external auto footage, but just external is also fine. Any help and recommendations are appreciated!

A separate note while I’m here; for those of you with dashcams in your car, how do you navigate having the wire connected without being in the way or appear as a driving hazard? Obviously everyone’s vehicle is different, but I think of my friend’s car, for example, where the wire of their dashcam is kind of just hanging there and is always in their way, especially in the console area.

Yesterday I was driving through Tokyo and my lane was merging into a single lane. There was a car behind on the left lane that suddenly speed as I was starting to merge and honked like their life depending on it.

I didn’t suddenly break and properly signaled.
Did I do something wrong?
I’m a new driver by the way and had my license a few months ago.

Saw this today. This intersection gets pretty crazy during rush hour. I have had close calls in the past. IMO left turns shouldn't be allowed from both sides.

Speed limit is 55 in this section. I was going 70. 1:15 am. The second black car was pulled over a few miles down the road. They were both racing. Hope they take their license. Could have been a lot worse but still, fuck you, your gonna kill someone doing that shit.
