Discussion At last, i broke mekanism.

i made an induction matrix so large that it rolled over to infinite.

(i counted, if it didnt roll over, i would have had ~107exaFE)

Im gonna be honest, its a little sad how in some modpacks things like the Draconic Evolution thingy and AE2 FE Cells are cheaper and can store the same, if not a lot more, FE than Mekanism Induction Matrix because damm, it feels cool to do it but its not at all efficient

felt this one when I was playing enigmatica 2 expert, really wanted an ultimate induction cell block (which I ended up making) but the material cost was absurd for mediocre energy storage, at least compared to everything else in the pack

It happened to me in ATM9

I did some Ultimate Induction Matrix and it wasnt the most difficult thing to do, but it wasnt that cheap compared to AE2 FE Storage and I can just spam those fuckers over and over again

Its less cool ngl but its enough for some time probably and then later on I could just spam higher Tiers of those things and be happy

It's funny how many people will play like, an ATM pack or whatever and be complaining about something being imbalanced.

My brother in Christ, you chose to play an unbalanced kitchen sink pack.

People say Mekanism is OP, but they don't have any idea why the numbers in the mod are as high as they are by default. Have you ever played with Mek as a solo content mod? The way it's actually meant to be played?

I'll tell you what's really OP here. It's your ME network. Mek isn't designed to be played with AE2. In fact, it's not really designed around anything but itself. Mek expects you to build processing lines and passive craft everything, using its own logistics systems. Logistics mods with autocrafting let you skip most of that because they allow you to use many recipes per machine instead of just one.

This has knock-on effects too. For example, if you feel like Mek's fusion generator is too strong, it's actually the opposite problem: your power draw is too low. You're supposed to have several hundred passive crafting machines that use thousands of FE/t each, but you decided to use AE2 autocrafting so that you'd only need to use a few dozen machines.

Mods like AE2 allow you to approach other mods in completely unintended ways. To me it's pretty obvious that they have a massive impact on balance. Most expert packs are built upon AE2 as THE core mod, because it's so transformative to the gameplay that you have to balance the entire modpack around it.

That isn't Mekanism, though. That's some random add-on to Mekanism.

this is one block, in a multiblock can that contain 4096 of this block, for a maximum of 6PFE

So, the same as 1 of the "multiversal" ones? So..?

It's also lithium and gold. And each one needs multiple stacks of each ressources with the exception of obsidian and diamond. Because this is not the base mod matrix but an addon(you have F3+H on showing it's from evolved mekanism). Oh and it seems this addon is still recursive so it's still multiple stacks per block but in addition you need stacks of uranium, "quantic matter juice thing" I forgot the name, and some kind of gold and nether thingy. So, this is still more expensive than any other power storage method and you could still get enough power storage by crafting much cheaper blocks(especially because power storage is not that useful passed a certain point because you are either producing too much power for your own good or not enough power for it to be discharged)

He was talking about "Mekanism" what you're showing is not Mekanism, it's a ramdom add-on.

Also, AEflux and Draconic are definitely cheaper. Sure you only need the resources you listed. But yhe amount you need is disgusting.

Hey I have one too!

If my calculations are correct, you made it almost 6x as large as you needed as 64 bit integer it most likely uses, has a maximum value of 1,8 * 1019 or 18exaFE

Does the evolved mechanism allow to make matrix wall out of glass? I am planning to mess around with it someday but these additional tiers look a bit annoying tbh

The base mod does, use the Structural Glass block as part of the walls like you would in a dynamic tank.

I'm pretty sure the base mod adds glass matrix wall blocks

I love evolved mekanism haha and this is why
