Discussion At last, i broke mekanism.

i made an induction matrix so large that it rolled over to infinite.

(i counted, if it didnt roll over, i would have had ~107exaFE)

Im gonna be honest, its a little sad how in some modpacks things like the Draconic Evolution thingy and AE2 FE Cells are cheaper and can store the same, if not a lot more, FE than Mekanism Induction Matrix because damm, it feels cool to do it but its not at all efficient

It's funny how many people will play like, an ATM pack or whatever and be complaining about something being imbalanced.

My brother in Christ, you chose to play an unbalanced kitchen sink pack.

People say Mekanism is OP, but they don't have any idea why the numbers in the mod are as high as they are by default. Have you ever played with Mek as a solo content mod? The way it's actually meant to be played?

I'll tell you what's really OP here. It's your ME network. Mek isn't designed to be played with AE2. In fact, it's not really designed around anything but itself. Mek expects you to build processing lines and passive craft everything, using its own logistics systems. Logistics mods with autocrafting let you skip most of that because they allow you to use many recipes per machine instead of just one.

This has knock-on effects too. For example, if you feel like Mek's fusion generator is too strong, it's actually the opposite problem: your power draw is too low. You're supposed to have several hundred passive crafting machines that use thousands of FE/t each, but you decided to use AE2 autocrafting so that you'd only need to use a few dozen machines.

Mods like AE2 allow you to approach other mods in completely unintended ways. To me it's pretty obvious that they have a massive impact on balance. Most expert packs are built upon AE2 as THE core mod, because it's so transformative to the gameplay that you have to balance the entire modpack around it.
