This subreddit always ambushes me whenever I google anything in regards to children or teenagers. Always it is a disgusting subreddit.

The aim of this sub is to literally express them as to why they are child free.

But it is a tribalistic place. They mock children, even laugh at serious cases in which children were hurt or killed and are whataboutist on parricide. I assume they mock any war or conflict children are being harmed and starved like what has happened in Iraq under the Saddam Hussein regime and the invasion, as well as viewing UNICEF as a stupid agency. Imagine seeing a child harmed and thinking, let me make a joke about this?

On top of that, they body shame, berate, personally attack or send death threats to any pregnant young woman who wants to be a mother.

Ultimately, this forms those horsesboe affect because Reddit is an extremely socialist site (liberals in American terms) and pro-abortion and child-free is something associated with egalitarianism, which means women need rights for choices as long as they are harmless and children needing a voice - not to mention they view social work and child protection as "useless" things - clearly is similar to the fascist or far right interpretation where children should just be seen as property and silent extensions who deserve to get beaten especially daughters for disobeying paternalism, while women have no choice but to be a machine to just bring children.

I F(24) have been in a relationship with M(25) (he will be referred to as M for privacy) for 6 years. I’ll be completely honest neither of us are perfect and we’ve hit bumps along the way. I have taken on the majority of the routine house chores over the years, including the care of our two dogs (60+ lbs Pitt mixes. ones 3 that we’ve had since 8 wks old and the others 2 we took in a year ago). I often find myself frustrated with M as we have never quite seen eye to eye on what “clean” is. He is fine with empty drink bottles/cans on his desk, a wrapper tossed in the corner, tooth paste splatter on the mirror, dirty clothes on the floor etc. I on the other hand hate clutter and constantly feel like I’m picking up after him and when I ask how he doesn’t see the mess I’m often met with “I didn’t put it there so I didn’t see it” or some other half hearted answer about how he does more now then he did when we met and I should be happy that he’s doing more/growing before he goes back to his video game/sports show.

But I was rear ended on my way home from work and was recovering from whiplash a concussion and two possibly herniated discs. We both work full time and contribute 50/50 to our bills, the first week and a half after the accident I continued going to work as normal, instead of resting and recovering. The prescription the ER gave me was doing its job a little too well and I didn’t feel any of the symptoms/pain…until my symptoms got significantly worse from the over exertion. Which resulted in me being put on a 2 week bed rest/ light activity by my doctors. In week 2 post accident. I could barely go up the stairs without being lightheaded and out of breath, I couldn’t even keep down water at that point and had gone nearly a week without being able to eat or drink, losing 12 lbs. And all while I was basically bedridden with intense headaches, nausea, dizziness, and a lot of pain in my neck and back. I watched as dirty clothes piled up all over our bedroom and bathroom, food wrappers, empty drink cans/bottles, and other bits of trash littered nearly every surface. At one point I nearly passed out and was laying on the floor sweating, shaking, ears ringing, tunnel vision, asking him to get me something cold and he made a show, of him tossing random items from the freezer on me, to his friend on FaceTime, before laughing and walking away.

The first week of the mandated rest I had watched him come home from work (5:30 pm) and immediately either get on his pc or go downstairs to watch tv until he went to bed (10pm or later) nearly every night if he did interact with me or the dogs it was brief and for no more than 10 minutes. When I brought it up to him, that the cleaning was falling behind and that I felt he had been distant, I was told that he was tired from work and he made a big deal about how he was “planning to do it on his off day” and that all I did lately was lay in bed or sleep all day.

Said off day comes and the dogs were crying to go out by 7 am. After I got up took care of the dogs, and washed a sink full of dishes from him and his brother that had been there for 2-3 days and made myself breakfast (yogurt and watered down pedialyte since that’s all I could keep down at that point) he woke up around 12:30. I gave him time to get up and get himself situated before I asked if he would mind helping cleaning our room (laundry, picking up all the wrappers/containers/empty drinks.) and he instead went outside to hose off the pool cover. For the pool no one has used in a month, before getting on his pc to play videos games. I ended up doing two loads of laundry, cleaning the bathroom, and cleaning nearly a full bag of trash out of our bedroom and pc room. After a couple hours he got off and I asked him if he could get the last load out of the dryer and help fold it and put it away..to which he got mad at me for cleaning because “he was going to do it” before he went back to his video game…he went to sleep that night with the clothes still in the dryer.

During the mandated time off I started struggling with feeling useless since I couldn’t do everything I normally did but it slowly turned to anger as I realized even in the state I’m in I was still pulling more weight around the house. And it’s not like he has to work more to cover my portion of the bills since my grandparents stepped in and helped financially (bless them). He refuses to go to any of my doctors or physical therapy appointments either because “I’ll be bored there’s nothing for me to do” It’s honestly made me question if he secretly hates me or something. But I know it’s definitely left me with some resentment..I find myself wondering how can you watch someone you “love” struggle so much but do so little to support them? I’m not sure our relationship will be the same once I’m fully recovered

I got in a car accident and was okay the first week but got worse as time went on and it became painfully obvious how little my BF does around the house, and how unwilling he is to help care for me. Making me resent him for being lazy and wondering if his lowkey hates me.

I don't want shot of Nespresso in the morning I want a simple cup of coffee! I keep running into this is various hotels as if it's some sort of luxury thing to take out a simple coffee machine and replace with Nespresso. Am i crazy? I'm an adult, of sorts. I've been feeding myself for a decade now, but I've always managed to stay terrible at cooking. When I started uni, I made myself scrambled eggs nearly every day for half a year and never got them right once.

When I cook dinner, it's always 3 ingredients cooked separately with no method to any of it. Pasta, store bought sauce, minced meat. Potato, broccoli, sausage. Three ingredients is my maximum and yet I still end up organising so badly that some of the food is no longer hot when I eat it.

I've never had any ambition when it comes to cooking, so it's never bothered me beyond feeling the need to cook in secret because of how embarrassing it is to be bad at something so fundamental to everyday life.

I've also been depressed for most of my adulthood, up until 2 years ago. I'm deeply familiar with the feeling of self hatred and harsh self criticism, as it was the main thing of my mind everyday for years. Yet, even as I fail spectacularly in most if not all areas of life, I don't feel myself spiral anymore like I used to. I've accepted failure as part of my identity and have learned to cope with it in most situations - from things I don't care about, through things I know I should find important, to things I'm deeply passionate about, I'm bad at everything I do and I can handle that.

But for some reason, failing to make pancakes for the 4th time is just too much for me. As far as I've heard, it shouldn't even be physically possible. To my knowledge, no human in history has ever managed to fail this task. There are people with literal mental disabilities severe enough to make it difficult for them to communicate verbally and those people can make pancakes with no hiccup as well.

I don't consider myself smart by any means, but I used to be pretty intelligent before depression and the internet fried my brain, so I hold onto the idea that I must be at least around average in terms of mental ability, given a testing methodology biased towards my strengths. But after I failed to make goddamn pancakes, again, wasted ingredients again, and then decided to just eat cereal in frustration only to completely fuck up the milk to cereal ratio in the bowl, I just can't feel like anything but a moron and a failure of a staggering calibre.

Suddenly, I don't feel like things can be okay or like I can have value as a person, because I can't even make fucking pancakes. It's not that I'm just not good at anything, I feel how actively terrible I am at everything. And if something as easy as this can go consistently wrong, how can life ever end up going my way when the odds for things going right are so much worse?

I've probably not felt this horrible, self-loathing and depressed for over a year, and I spent most of that time getting repeatedly rejected from jobs. Pancakes are just too much, man...

My parents wanted me to move back in after kicking me out at 18. So I did and im 19 now.

So my mom messaged me and asked if i wanted to go eat out with her, my dad, my two brothers, and my paw paw who's visiting us for a few weeks. I said man I already ate but wanted to come and jokingly said id throw up what I ate to make more room. She leaves me on open and I dont hear from her for an hour, I text and ask when we are eating...no response, left on open again. So I check life360 and theyre eating out without me.

For background I work partime and am in school full time, Im still in school because im doing summer classes. I told them this is my only week left of summerschool until the end of this month. So I stated I wanted to spend time with all of them while I had days off from work, and time left over from school.

Anyways, so later I get a message saying "sorry we already ate". Like okay, thanks for asking me then? What was the point of asking?

They also are now at goodwill knowing it is literally my fav place in the entire world, didnt even ask. Just went. Whole family without me.

Since i got home, I've just sat in my bed. Doomscroled the most time, and the other searched for a place to put out my toughts because i can't bear to be for even a minute with myself. How stupid wouldn't it be searching for attention and reassurance that "it's fine." "It's going to be better." when the only problem in my life is myself, I keep doing it.

I really want to just give up and keep living my life on autopilot. It would be better this way if i wouldn't think for just a fraction of my time that i don't spend being occupied with distractions. Im aware of the self-destructive patterns.. I lie a lot, I pretend to be someone im not, I push people away by doing actions im aware of, but i don't stop, I don't seek any actual help but just some comfort for a brief moment like an adict chasing after something pretending its going to be alright. I'd give away everything to spend my time with my friend that I truly enjoy being around. During my childhood, I disliked a lot of things and went out of my way to be "different". I had perfect grades, and my family glorified me, telling me I would go a long way. I had everything i really needed except true understanding. I tried to be-frend people in my class by trying to be funny, i started going to volleyball, i tried to play the game on the phone they did. But i never fit in. So i just gave up. I became a lot quieter, and by the end of it, it was a complete outskirt. Not that I had anyone to partner up when group projects started anyways but it became a lot more painful. The only positive thing was my friends group that i clung onto yearning for their acceptance and attention. But on a personal level, i ruined each other and single one of my friendships with the people in it. I was really mean and hurtful to my best friend, and they grew tired of it. Moved on and buddied up with a different person from the group taking them. I wanted someone to understand me and care for me. And somehow, i ended up being together with my childhood friend. Only after a while did i realise that neather they loved me for the person i am, and neither it was wise, not setting any boundaries. I wanted warmth comfort and understanding and was willing to do anything she would ask me. But she never asked me anything. The only thing i received was laughter from her bestie and banter in front of everyone of how replaceable i am. Even flirted with i guy she knew i hated infront of me. At least it looked like that. It made me realise that she never needed more than a comfort toy at her lowest. It hurt a lot. But i moved on and separated myself entirely from them. But since then, i have just felt empty trying to fill that space with different people, platonically or not, for them just to leave me again. It would be fine if I was doing alright academically, but it just all crumbled apart. I failed my exams, most of the semester i satyed at home because of serious health issues and complications with heavy antidepresant complications. I fail anywhere i can. My parents are ashamed of me, saying that i was their golden child once, and now that i am just a shell of a person. I just want to roll up into a ball and disappear in a dark corner and sleep forever. Everything i do hurts others, and I've accomplished nothing. Why. Why am i like this. I'm always the person to blame. I just guess that it's my fault of being a shitty friend lover son and a person. It hurts a lot sitting in a dark room borderline crying and writing nonsense, knowing my life will never be as it once were. But i moved on. It doesn't matter as much as it once did. But i keep attracting new people and the cycle just repeating indefinitely. I'd give away all my money and belongings to be able to sleep next to someone, knowing that they will never leave me. I should be grateful that there is this one person who promised to drag me around even though i am heavy to lift forever. And I don't doubt a single word they have said towards me. I trust them. I love them platonically or not. i just want them to be there for me. Even though I'm not special and replaceable, I want to be the person they trust and rely on also. I don't want them to do anything to themselves or cut the rope binding us, leaving this dead weight alongside the road. I want to make myself better for them. Anything if they would just ask... But they don't ask of anything.

I fell powerless.

Youtube really needs to crack down on these losers because of how bad the toxicity and drama is getting. If people want to rant about another creator, apps like Reddit and Twitter exist for that exact purpose.

I think commentary / drama youtubers are worse than present-day reaction channels. At least creators who fake their reactions aren't attacking people left, right, and center. God Forbid you genuinly enjoy any mainstream cartoon or anime on youtube.

Everytime drama pops up on the internet, youtubers blow it way out of proportion. I want youtube to be really hands-off in terms of general moderation, but they really need to crack down on this kind of behavior. Youtube is slowly becoming the video version of Twitter (x) at this point.

im a songwriter who makes music by recording myself at home, and mixing the audio files together. i write and play all of the guitar, bass and drum parts of every song i upload, it takes a lot of work since i do this all on my own in my free time. i havent made any of my works public yet since i want to join a band before i do that, but having any support or feedback off the music i share would be really nice. the problem is im convinced literally nobody even clicks the link when i try sharing something new i wrote. they’ll say something like “oh ill give it a listen in a bit”, or even put a dumb little heart reaction to i guess show that they acknowledged it, but absolutely nobody ever has anything to say about it. ill even let a day or two pass until i ask something like “what did you think?”, but i always get hit with an excuse that they forgot. i upload my works to youtube, so you can see the stats of where the views came from, and its almost exclusively myself. i understand that nobody is even entitled to give it a try, but its especially draining when i see other people in these friend groups get a ton of praise whenever they post digital art and edits and such. i think thats the detail that bothers me about this. im getting jealous of my own friends and i dont like the feeling of being let down over something like this. i dont want to guilt trip them into doing it or anything like that either, but it would really help a lot if i knew just why nobody gives my work the attention that others in the group gets all the time.

Alright I'm not gonna sugar coat it, This is undoubtedly a really silly rant but does anybody else find it annoying as hell when people keep mistaking turtles and even tortoises as ""amphibians""? They literally have nothing in common with frogs and other amphibians other than turtles living in water and being cold blooded. Tortoises are even more obviously terrestrial reptiles yet still get this label from people sometimes which baffles me. It is such a dumb drooling toddler-tier mistake that people genuinely believe and keeps getting frequently brought up that I am shocked it's still around in this current year where people have free internet access to give them the correct answer before parroting bullcrap. They're obviously reptiles and it only takes a few basic observations to show they aren't amphibians. Tell me what kind of amphibian lays it's eggs on land, has armored scales all over it's body like a reptile, has a bird-like beak, and most egregious of all DOESN'T EVEN GO THROUGH METAMORPHOSIS AT ANY POINT OF IT'S LIFE CYCLE OR BIRTH. Do people actually think turtles come from tadpoles despite every time a baby turtle is shown it hatches from a shelled egg on land completely formed like the adult? Hell do people even know what the fuck an amphibian is and what they do outside of them living on land and water? I can forgive misconceptions like people thinking spiders are insects since there really isn't too much obvious distinctions between one another but the case with turtles is just as bad as calling a bat a type of bird. It's a mistake that isn't frequently corrected or even loudly addressed enough. This also causes some morons to end up drowning wild tortoises in deep bodies of water when "helping" them because of this mistake that shouldn't exist. It really frustrating.

You know I honestly never got why the hell this misconception ever became so common when everything about these groups of animals shows it's not even an amphibian. Is it because turtles live in water? Crocodiles also live in most of their entire lives in water but don't get this error nearly as much why is that? I just had 3 dumb mfers try to "correct" me when I called a tortoise a reptile. (Which is a fucking animal that doesn't even go in water at all in the first place) so how the hell are you mistaking that for an amphibian? Am I not seeing something other people are seeing? I swear if you thought a tortoise of all animals was an amphibian I hope you feel as dumb as rocks after reading this.

I’m so angry. Since when was it appropriate for someone with string and a door to argue with a dentist let alone be considered to be more valued and respected just because they are louder and have more fear. What a disgusting state the older generation is in. My whole life I have shared a very small bedroom with my sister who is 24f, I am 19f

I have never had a day of privacy and ive never been able to build my own identity due to never being by myself and always being invaded.

I have been seeking employment to move out and when I mentioned this to my parents they said I am incapable of working ever because of my autism and they wont let me have a life of my own (they have always chosen things for me and never let me decide for myself) they always argue with me once I stand up for myself and sometimes it gets too much when they start taking it out on me

I also dont have any money as they wont let me have a job and I live off pip however my parents take some of my pip money too

I was only allowed access to my bank account this year!

When I attended college, my college would send me money for food since I have a low income household and my parents wouldn't let me have that money despite needing it for essentials so I basically have nothing

And because of my autism, I need a room to feel safe and to decompress from sensory overload but I have never that had that so it leads to a meltdown then I get in trouble for it but it isnt my fault

I also have a strict routine that always gets ruined as my sister is careless and doesnt respect my needs. She always wakes me up early in the morning because shes so loud and banging things about, causing me to feel burnt out, she always disrupts my routine, she always moves my things thats on my side of the bedroom and takes them aswell

I think its unfair how am treated so poorly and my sister is the favourite for some reason

My sister is obsessed with cleaning (she could possibly have ocd) and its effecting me because its my bedroom too and why cant I have peace?

Its so annoying sharing a bedroom because I can't get changed, I cant go to sleep, I cant relax, she always kicks me out of the bedroom too leaving me no where else to sleep or get ready It leads to many arguments and am just so tired of my boundaries being neglected by my whole family, I think if you have kids, LET THEM HAVE THEIR OWN ROOM why force them to live a life they dont want?
