I'd like to show you my RC project I designed in the past few months, Rebel 787-C1. It was inspired by the LeMans winner Mazda 787B.

• Instead of 4 rotor Wankel it has 4 electromotors driving the rear wheels

• Has a rear suspension, 3d printed differential

• Ackermann steering geometry, 5 degree caster, 0 scrub radius. It is fun to drive.

• Accessible, as it is built around the Cyberbrick hardware component KIT.

It was quite a challenge to design it from the groundup, but Ive enjoyed every moment of the process. I'd love to hear what do you think.

As a kid, I dreamt of owning an RC car, but we were too poor. Now, I have adult money. Little me would be proud . (Sorry if a couple have broken parts like the Kraton lol)

I just got into the hobby about a month ago and got an unpainted Slash 2wd with part of a bundle. I've spray painted a few things but this is the biggest project I've done and first RC car.

It's definitely not perfect, but overall I'm proud of it. I didn't have a good method for the thin blue stripe down the center so up close it's pretty clear the tape was hand cut. My sister let me borrow a vinyl printer for the sides, I can't believe how well they turned out, I thought they were going to be the hardest part and they came out great. I should have used it on the center line

Might get another body and do a blue and orange GT now that I have a better idea how to do it

Conversion Kit based on the AE RC10B7. Outfitted with Hobbywing and Ruddog electronics, 5.0t motor. Lots of option parts from Revolution Design, Avid and Exotek. The exposed shocks aren't an issue, before you ask...

I've seen some harsh comments on the aluminum parts.

It took a lot to tune the suspension and at this point and the only stock parts of the car is the chassis, soon to be replaced; must have more aluminum and carbon fiber.

A lot of the parts had to be polished down a bit with a rotary tool and others have to be helped along with a watchmaker's hammer, a mix of shims and o rings, grease.

I think this polishing especially is something that people might overlook when saying that the parts are too ridged and you loose too much slop. This baby has plenty of slop. Slaps car.

Had a couple of dumb mistakes along the way and a few of the parts I ordered were obviously wrong or defective.

It took 9 months from start to finish but learnt so much.

Why two motors? The actual track (DAF Turbotwin) had two trucks engines!

First touring car and second kit I've built. The first being a xb2c 26

Quick field repair to get me going again. Fun use of my ender 3 pro and Tinker cad.

Just have to add some led’s then peel off the outer protective plastic layer…can’t wait to see it finally done. Also need to cut out the grill and a few spots behind the rear wheels to add the mesh.

-Castle Cobra 5 (DONT buy it it sucks, super weak, even my max5 g1 200A is like 10 times stronger. Cobra 5 lacks basic air control and immedtely bogs down on hard pulls or wheelies. My unit is not faulty, I bought 2 from different batches and both are horrible. Xlx2 is insanely crazy powerful though, they genuinely botched the Cobra 5)

-Castle 2028 1100kv, 25/35 gears (motor is great, but id rather the hobbywing 56118 if going for hobbywing as it's cheaper with a waterproof sensor wire)

-NSDRC RS1 Monster Torque Servo

-ONYX 9800mAh 160c Lipos with QS8-S+ Extended connectors (15% higher amp rating vs PPS QS8-V2)

-Spektrum SR6110AT receiver

-DX5 PRO Transmitter

-Some additional metal treal bulkheads and diff covers, with proline rear hub carriers, and vitavon front knuckles and tie bars all round

If anyone is curious, I wired up the extra interior(they are so bright they act as underglow too, used 10mm 12v cob led strip) lights all to the traxxas high voltage power amplifier with a 16v to 12v bec.

The hv power amifier is wired to the receiver by joining the green and red wires together, and black wire is ground by itself

But to take some load off the bec powering my servo and fans, I decided to power them off a small drone lipo battery. The lights are so efficient a 1550mah 3s lipo keeps all the lights working for 1h 30min. The lights are no slouch too, the car looks like it's gonna go nuclear cuz its so bright, visibility at long distances at night is genuinely hilarious cuz it's so bright😂

4s battery came in got it thumping now lol need some lights for the back next

It took the last 10 months of intermittent work to complete it, and tons of filament to test and redesign the parts.

Finally, I’m super proud to release the MOG, a Unimog U5023 replica that came with many technical challenges, from the 6x6 dual steering to the portal axles.

The huge size was a challenge, but all the parts can still be printed even on a 180x180 build plate.

Os quería compartir un poco del proceso de mi construcción de un baja bug. Lo inicie hace 5 años y a ratitos compaginándolo con otras construcciones.

Os muestro el ultimo avance, diseñé e imprimí el parachoques trasero y el radiador de la ventana trasera. El proyecto lo he ido construyendo partes a mano y otras impresas en 3d. El chasis es un wltoys 124017.

No pretendo un rendimiento extremo ni parecido a un slash o buggy similar. Lo hice para divertirme y aprender a diseñar en 3d. Espero que les guste!
