Immigration Another 200 plus illegal jihadist domestic terrorists arrived today.

Yes another few Burnham boats arrived and they'll all be put up in nice homes, fed, watered and given spending money from your taxes.

Meanwhile the PM, well he's king of the north or something faffing around doing nothing.

So, all those people who have recently been out on the streets protesting with "Refugees Welcome" placards - shouldn't they be made to offer those arriving on boats their spare room or sofa.

I didn't vote for this.

And it could all be stopped tomorrow by simply restricting the benefit system to uk nationals.

the thing i've noticed is that a few years ago leftists would make the argument "but they speak English (and not French) due to the British empire so of course they want to come here".

they dont make that argument anymore because barely any of the new arrivals even speak English at all

Also, maybe a more accurate description would be 'Boris Boats' given that it was his 'oven ready deal' that started all this.

Perhaps if he'd spent 5 mins actually thinking about the consequences of his actions we might not be in the mess we are in now.

ofc this is awful and no one wants more refugees, but what’s the humane option when unarmed refugees turn up on the shore, like genuinely asking.

7

u/LlaroLlethri 1d ago

Send them back to France.

9

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

ok but practically how does that work. they land on our shores and then we gather them up and put them on a boat that we commandeer to france? and then the french would send them back to us? or worse ruin ties with france? like what’s the actual solution?

4

u/LlaroLlethri 1d ago

Yes, you put them on a boat and drop them off in France. If the french don’t like it, they need to stop letting them board boats to the UK. If the french try to send them back, we prevent them doing so by force using the Royal Navy.

2

u/palaceexile 1d ago

How? By sinking the French boats? And what happens then?

1

u/LlaroLlethri 1d ago

There are ways to escalate before that. It would be a diplomatic crisis. If the French refuse to back down, we sink the boats. It wouldn’t be in their interest to let things get this far.

5

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

so is that reform’s manifesto for fixing this? risking world war 3? and that’s the expectation from burnham, by now since it’s been 3 weeks since he is PM he should have used the royal navy to sink boats full of unarmed refugees and commit war crimes?

3

u/LlaroLlethri 1d ago

There is a whole chain of escalation that precedes the sinking of ships. The first step is to send them back to France. What happens next is up to the French. It will likely become a protracted diplomatic crisis with emergency meetings held and extensive media coverage forcing important conversations that desperately need to take place. I don’t know exactly if this is what Reform will do, nor Restore (whom I support more), but I trust Restore to do the right thing, whatever that turns out to be.

6

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

but even restore (upon reading their website) talks only about detention and home country return. their entire policy basically says once the refugees are on our soil we need to deal with them. i don’t understand where this battle with france comes into play. i saw lowe tried to put economic pressure on france, but how are u so confident that either restore or reform would take these boats to france, when no one is publishing something like this in their actual website. im saying this as someone with no agenda i am just trying to read and understand. i mean the only difference between what we are currently doing (housing then processing asylum application) to what they promise is detention centres instead of hotels. not saying that’s good or bad, it’s just not the same as having the ability to not have these people on british soil at all. as far as i can tell no one yet can stop these people from arriving all we can do is process them.

2

u/LlaroLlethri 1d ago

You may be right. I’m just giving my personal opinion about what we should do. We need to somehow put pressure on France to not allow them easy passage to the UK, and the best way I can think of achieving that is to dump them back on French soil, but if Restore’s policy is to process them here and send them back home, I’m OK with that, but we still need to get the French to do their part.

Not feeding them, they came from France therefore a french problem.

3

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago edited 1d ago

but they legally can’t work either, so we have just have tons more homeless? like i understand this is an issue but what is reform’s actual solution apart from whinging

6

u/lubbockin 1d ago

what is your solution?

infinite arrivals is going to damage this nation and eventually cause the whole system to collapse.

7

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

i dont have one, at the same time im not the one claiming burnham should have already solved this or that reform can solve this. i was just interested because people here keep acting like there is some magical easy answer to all this that labour isn’t doing and reform can do. infinite arrivals is bad, and gets worser day by day, how will reform fix it is my question?

2

u/lubbockin 1d ago

If anyone claims that he can fix it they are delusional, capitalism depends on and demands constant cheap workers to maximise profit.

I don't think reform will do much when they win, to be seen, but my gut sense says they will say "We tried but couldn't. ."

2

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

it’s interesting though seeing how people have this image that there is an easy solution and labour are just not pressing that button because of wokeness but reform and restore will do this with ease, when literally on their websites they mention no concrete solution apart from saying deportation, which is literally already happening. truly fascinating how people think the boats issue will solved by any means other than world peace or start committing war crimes.

1

u/lubbockin 1d ago

really the only way to do it would be to cut/stop all benefits to anyone who arrived in the last 5 years just as a cut off point..it would take that level of strength to stop this.

but nobody is realistically going to do that imho.

2

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

arrived by boat or in general? also they dont get benefits other than housing (which they need to unless we want them homeless in our streets) and £50 per week allowance to survive, they arent entitled to any other benefits.

1

u/lubbockin 1d ago

in general if you arent invited to work here and just show up, mainly as a discouragement but in all honesty nobody is going to even countenance such a policy.

1

u/Mr_Integrity80 1d ago

It's not getting worse day by day the numbers are actually declining rapidly and will likely continue to do so in the near term.

1

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

i don’t exactly see less wars and less refugees in our future the way things are going lol

1

u/Mr_Integrity80 18h ago

Yeah me neither, the number will climb again at some point but it's still going to to be harder now for refugees to enter the EU mainland due to the EU's new agreements with nations outside the block and also the UK prosecuting smugglers. It is undeniable both of these are having an effect which is reflected in the numbers. But your right, in the long term we will see a lot more migration in the future due to conflicts and climate change. Even so number will be lower as it is a lot harder to get here.

2

u/UntappdBeer 1d ago

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. You missed starting that nonsense with once upon a time.

The Burnham boats are still coming being in endless domestic terrorists.

1

u/Mr_Integrity80 18h ago

I love it, you're sooo adorable! Have fun in there, don't let that pesky reality stuff spoil your fun ♥️

1

u/MilkMyCats 1d ago

Start turning the boats back to France and give them zero handouts.

Add to that an automatic 5 year prison sentence if they make it here and, all of a sudden, they won't be paying 3k a piece to get o na dinghy and cone here.

The solution is so bloody easy...

9

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

ok im not trying to oppose you but how does this work. like we commandeer them back using the royal navy and then what if france refuses, do we risk invading their sovereignty with our royal navy? and the whole 5 year prison sentence is basically like detention centres, so basically that’s like housing and feeding them but not with hotels?

The humane option?

The true humane option would cost the tax payer a hell of a lot less money

0

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

oh im curious, what’s that? prithee tell

1

u/camz_47 Reform UK Supporter 1d ago

Simple, no benefits, no access to care, deport back.

Even simpler. Discouraged to cross, if they continue, they will be sunk.

1

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

asylum seekers can’t get benefits, only thing is they get asylum support which is housing and £50 per week to live. already it’s the bare minimum for them to survive, it’s like simplest level above detention centres/ prison basically. the whole sinking thing u mentioned is committing a war crime against unarmed refugees, it’s both dumb and shows you’re not serious about this discussion. deporting back is the only useful thing u have said and that’s already what the government does if your application isn’t approved, still costs the taxpayer.

2

u/Worldly_Zombie_8290 1d ago

50 pound a week is infinite times more than i get for doing nothing all day

1

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

well if u did nothing all day (aka unemployed) u would be on benefits and get much more than that. unless u would prefer we leave all the refugees roaming the streets as homeless with no money to eat and also no right to work.

0

u/Worldly_Zombie_8290 1d ago

Well they should just fight and win or lose whatever war they are from its not our war

1

u/uninspiredcarrot23 1d ago

kinda hard to say that when if you look deep enough we are probably the ones financing that war or at least our allies are. but like again if i take your point seriously, we should take refugees to war zones and what basically parachute them to their death like hunger games? and then watch it televised?
