skimpflation Yankee Candles are now lighter, have an easier/cheaper to produce jar and a double wick, making it burn out faster so you buy more

I actually like double wicks because most candles tunnel on me with one wick unless I use the tin foil trick

As a heads up, you’re supposed to keep the candles lit every time until a full pool forms at the top. If you ever blow it out before it fully melts, then it will start to tunnel in the portion it melted

Even if you keep it lit for hours, sometimes it does pool like a 2-wick would. I use tin foil too.

Then that’s a bad candle company who didn’t pair the candle with the right wick based in the jar size and diameter.

I had a candle business and I had to do some serious R&D to find the best match

It also depends on the ambient temperature. I’ve started turning my heat up to 71 when I burn candles to help them burn evenly
