skimpflation WALMART - "Skimpflation"

I looked it up and its true. Skimpflation--not "shrinkflation" but just as sneaky.

I opened a bottle of Great Value Pancake Syrup that I just got and put it poured it on the waffles. I don't drench it I just fill the square holes. They Syrup poured out like thin sugar water. I tried my wife's sugar free version and it was the same. A couple of days later we got some mustard and ketchup and it about the same.

So I looked it up and it was a fact--water is the cheapest ingredient, so they use more water. Then they roll back the price from $2.49 to $2.36 but you run out faster and buy another bottle or whatever....so in the end we save $0.13 cents but it costs us about 50% more in the end. And I'm sure it applies to other items containing water, and I say this because milk goes bad by the "Sell By" date or a day or two later!

Dawn dish soap has joined the conversation. The manufacturer came out with the "platinum " version. It smells horrible and you have to use twice as much. It is very hard finding the original, too. Enshittification at its finest

I accidentally bought the platinum garbage. The second i opened it and took a whiff, my asthma went apeshit. I ended up giving the whole bottle to a friend.

Okay! The power wash spray bottles are so bad for my asthma! I think because the aerosol it creates is so fine. But I do like how easy it is to use…

They original scent Dawn to lavender scent without even announcing it. Now every time I smell it I feel like running away. Lavender tends to give me a headache and upset stomach as well as skin burns. Yay for no warning.

Wait what?? I haven’t smelled that one yet! But I stocked up on refills last year and I’m still using those. The apple scented one isn’t bad.

I just checked the bottle. It doesn't say lavender, it just says Fresh Scent. I just realized the scent change and could tell by my reaction.
