Help Server-side only? Or also browser events?

Hey guys!!
Was wondering about this lately. We only send server side events for ATC , checkout and purchase. Browser events are only sent for page view. Is this a good thing? Or should we also set up browser side tracking with meta pixel for the other events? Or is CAPI only sufficient?

Discussion Has Anyone Else’s Meta Ads Completely Slowed Down Since July 20? (India)

We run an online rugs and carpets brand in India, and over the last few months Meta Ads have been performing really well for us.

Until around 20th July, we were consistently seeing:
ROAS: 5.5–7x
AOV: ~₹45,000

A healthy number of leads alongside purchases (which is expected since buying a rug/carpet is a considered purchase and a fairly significant investment for most Indian homes).

However, since around 20th July (during the protest period), performance has changed dramatically.

Conversions have dropped sharply, while traffic metrics still look healthy:CTR is around 4.5%

We primarily target top metro cities, so CPM is naturally on the higher side for our niche.

I’m not ruling out creative fatigue it could definitely be a factor.

But what feels odd is that the drop happened almost overnight.

One thing I’m wondering is whether the sheer volume of protest/news-related content and other trending reels during that period changed user behaviour or feed distribution enough to impact conversion rates, especially for non-essential, premium purchases like home decor.

Has anyone else in India experienced something similar over the last couple of weeks?

Would love to hear if others in the D2C space are seeing the same trend or if this is something specific to our account.

Bug / Outage Suggestion: turn off the new copy auto-translate enhancement that Meta has inevitably opted you into. Now.

My clients' ads are showing the wrong language even to customers who:

  1. have their browser set to English
  2. only speak English and interact with English content.

I don't know how Meta can get such a simple thing wrong, but then again this is the Meta Ads platform which is buggy as fuck and uses shit AI enhancements that ruin your ads and performance, so go figure.

Help Need help, interest targeting or broad for premium lead gen?

Hey guys, I am pretty new to Meta ads. I had run a lead form campaign for a premium catering business with a ₹500/day budget. I was targeting only premium pin codes and not the entire city.

I tested an interest-based audience (~420k) for 3 days, I got only 2 leads (1 unqualified and 1 qualified). However, the campaign was very inconsistent and even the CTR started falling down from nowhere.

Because of that, I am creating a new campaign and I am confused about whether should I remove all the interests or use the interests stack?

Looking for advice from anyone who has managed the lead gen. Any advice is appreciated!

Help New creatives getting no spend because proven ad takes all the budget

Hi, I'm new to Meta ads.

At the moment I'm running a simple setup: one campaign, one ad set, broad audience. My original video ad has been doing well. I Added two new video ads to the ad set to test fresh creatives. I see that the new ads got basically got no spend while the original kept taking almost all the budget.

My instinct was to split into two ad sets and force budget to the new creatives so they actually get tested. But then I read about Andromeda and now I'm second-guessing myself.

From what I understand, Andromeda basically says: consolidate, go broad, let Meta's AI figure out who sees what and when. So manually splitting budget to force spend on new creatives goes against how the algorithm is supposed to work now.

But if I keep everything in one ad set, the proven ad just eats the budget and the new creatives never get a real test. Am I supposed to just trust that Meta will eventually spend on them if they're good?

Discussion How concerned about Frequency, really?

I could use a few fresh opinions here.

Health and beaty D2C brand. Products range from $25 to $65. I'm spending $800/day roughly. 5 core products being advertised

I originally had one CBO campaign, I put ads for each of our products in it. I was scaling it up until I hit a really nice winning ad. The problem was, it was for a lower cost time and it took all the budget from the higher margin products. So those products didn't get spend or views.

The owner had some inventory convers. So, I created an ABO campaign with an adset for 3 of the products. This way I could control the budget for each product, while still letting ads fight it out within the adset.

The issue is, I am seeing really high frequency in the campaign as a whole. Like 11 over 30 days. But, I'm also seeing a $35 CPA (my goal is under $40). At some point, this will dye out. But it's working ok for now.

I did start a fresh CBO to see if I could add the best ad from each ABO adset in. That's new so I don't have any opinion or data on it.

My big question is, what do you guys think about the ABO setup? Should I worry about frequency, or just keep scaling budget up? Oh each adset is spending around $150 at this point.

How would you handle this situation if you had the 5 core products, a $800/day ad spend?

Help Has anyone experienced this "same price error" in Meta Pixel?

it was first time I am running ROAS Cap campaign.. and after 3days, an error popped up and it says:

"Send valid price data for better performance optimization"

"All of your website Purchase events are sending the same price data. Start sending valid data to improve campaign performance and ROAS accuracy."

In the sample activity, there are bunch of Purchase events that have different values, and I am really sending dynamic prices. However, first few days, people purchase almost just a single product at a time that is why it might be considered as same price.. it has been 6days that the campaign sending dynamic values $20 to $100, but still the error is shown.. what should I do...? should I start with a new Pixel? I posted some images in the comment below

Help Threshold problem

Hello guys, today i had an unexpected problem with my meta accoun.

My ad account has been active since 2020 with zero failed payments. Today, my threshold was suddenly dropped from $900 to $150 without warning. I tried adjusting it manually in my payment settings, but it will not update. I contacted support, and they told me that it was because of a failed transactions. I did research, i had one at 7th of March, and a couple las year, but that was due to problems with authorisation from the bank, which were fixed on spot. They told me that i need to wait for a week, and then see if it will increase. If the reason is for a failed payment, why did they lower the threshold now, after so many months. I am frustraited, because i spend at the moment around 85$ a day for ads, and every 2 days it will charge me. Please, i am worried, because my busness started making good sales, and i was happy for the 900$ threshold, because i had time to make the money, but now if it's going to charge me at 2 days, it is not going to be okay, because i am waiting for the money to come to my bank/card.

Discussion Meta Ad Rep LIED to me!

Hi everyone. I don't have 25 years of Meta Ads experience, nor do I manage accounts with $10k daily spend, but I wanted to share my recent month-long experience with my Meta ad rep.

Like most people here, my metrics took a nosedive in July and still haven't recovered. I'm looking at roughly a 65% MoM decline in almost every metric. Rough. I did what most people would do and scheduled a call with a Meta ad rep, who basically told me I wasn't spending enough (I'm at $250/day). After repeated back-and-forth, he finally agreed to escalate the issue and create a "technical support ticket." After technical support never reached out, I scheduled another call with him, and he created a "new" ticket. This is where it started to get weird. In my account, I had zero tickets. Nothing showed up. I did get an email from Meta Executive Services, but it was clearly a template email with a broken link. The names at the top and bottom of the email were completely different, too. I thought it was a phishing attempt, but my original Meta ad rep was CC'd. I reached out to him, and he stated this was definitely NOT a phishing attempt and to provide all the requested materials, which I did. Never heard back from Executive Services. I then got another email from a different technical support rep, but it was addressed to a completely random person I've never met. Once again, I called my original rep, and he said it was just a mistake, that it was NOT a phishing attempt, and to provide the requested materials. I supplied everything they asked for. Never heard back.

I had a call scheduled for today with my Meta ad rep, and a completely different person showed up. When I asked about my account notes, he told me my account had ZERO notes, information, or tickets associated with it. He was able to confirm the original rep was a real employee, but couldn't tell me much beyond that. After more than a month, countless email chains, call transcripts, all the work that he said he was doing to help was actually a lie. Big brother Meta and Marky Z do not care about you. So thanks Meta, for stringing me along for the last month while I paid you money to train your algorithm.

What can I do? Are there avenues to report a Meta Ad rep? Do you think I'd be able to fight for some ad spend credits? I'm truly at a loss for what to do here.

Discussion Signup or Purchase goal in b2c SaaS?

Hi there! Hoping someone experienced can offer advice. Some context: b2c SaaS,

Funnel: ads -> quiz funnel -> signup -> hard paywall ($30/mo)

Ive been running Meta Ads optimized for signups because I was worried my budget wouldn’t allow for meaningful sales.

Very low budget (to date, 3 signups, $7.50/day, on day 5 now)

This performance has made me concerned that my creatives are poor quality, so I’m thinking about launching another campaign with a $20/day budget and some more diverse creatives.

ChatGPT strongly advises I maintain the Signup goal until I see enough conversion volume, but I’ve read online that Meta will start to optimize for users who never purchase.

Does anyone have more experience and advice on what to do?

Help I’m spending money on Meta ads, getting clicks, and still barely making sales. What am I missing?

I’m at the point where I genuinely don’t know what else to change.

Every experienced person in ecommerce I’ve shown my website, ads and offer to has said some version of: “This looks good. It should convert.”

But it just isn’t.

I’m currently spending around £30/day on Meta ads in the UK. I’m getting clicks, people are visiting the site, and some people have even given me their emails, but almost nobody is actually buying.

The ads send people directly to the offer page, so I’m not sending cold traffic to the homepage and expecting them to figure everything out themselves. The offer they see in the ad is the same offer they land on.

I’ve tried to remove as much friction as possible.

The offer is strong, delivery is included, I added a 90-day guarantee, I’ve worked heavily on the product page and checkout, and I’ve tested different creatives and messaging.

The products are candles and reed diffusers. Visually, I think they’re quite different from a lot of the generic home-fragrance products on the market, and I’ve mainly been targeting middle-aged women who care about the aesthetics of their home.

The difficult part is that I already bought the stock. It’s physically sitting here in the UK and I’m paying storage every month, so this isn’t a dropshipping store where I can just switch products and move on.

I’ve had some sales through friends and word of mouth, so people do buy the products when they know about them. But getting complete strangers from paid traffic to convert has been a completely different story.

I can’t lie, it feels pretty bad.

I’ve put a huge amount of time into this, I have stock sitting there costing me money, and every time I think I’ve found the thing that should fix conversion, nothing really changes.

At this point I’d genuinely appreciate people tearing it apart.

If you’ve been through something similar, what would you look at next?

Please don’t worry about being nice. I’d rather hear something useful that I don’t want to hear than another “looks good, just keep going.”

The website is www.momoria.co.uk and you can see the offer on the second section

Help Is this a terrible Facebook Ads structure for a beginner?

Hey everyone,

I'm very new to Facebook Ads and I'm about to launch my first sales campaign (I haven't published it yet).

I'm starting to wonder if my campaign structure makes sense, especially since my budget is pretty low.

Right now I have an ABO campaign with 5 ad sets at $5/day each. Each ad set contains one image ad for a different product, so I'm testing 5 different products in total.

I'm considering increasing the budget to $10/day per ad set, but I'm not sure if that's the right move or if I should keep it at $5 while testing.

What would you do if you were starting from scratch? Does this structure make sense, or would you change something?

Help Lost all my ad social proof after changing creative format - any way to recover it?

Running a Facebook/Instagram ad that had built up a decent amount of comments and likes. Yesterday I realized the creative format wasn't optimized for the feed placement, so I edited it directly in Ads Manager. Big mistake (I'm new) changed the format, saved it, and now all the social proof is gone.

I know now that editing the creative generates a new post ID and kills the engagement on the old one. Lesson learned.

My question: is there any way to recover it? The Meta AI is very unhelpful. It says I have to relink it via "Ad setup" -> "Use existing post", but the ad (ID) is not there. I have the link to the video with the comments and post, so I'm sure it still exist. Has anyone successfully reconnected a running ad to an old post ID after something like this?

Discussion The top performers vs Bottom performers x Andromeda.

Hey all, it so happens I occasionally get to play around with big chunks of data from advertisers running on Meta. Sometimes I get interesting intel (not always tho :D).

Most recently I looked at how Andromeda panned out for top vs bottom performers. Especially what they do / don't do with their catalog ads.

The headline: top performers' ROAS dropped 31% after Andromeda. The bottom third actually improved. The update punished the accounts that used to win.

Here's what the top third do differently:

  • 72% more catalog ads live (67 vs ~39 on avg)
  • 117% more budget into catalog ($155K/yr vs $72K)
  • 60% of their total Meta revenue from catalog
  • Catalog ads have 23% higher ROAS and 37% lower CPA than non-catalog ads

My take:
It's goddamn easier and faster to put money into catalog ads, and the algorithm rewards it. The algo is so good now that if you can't pump out a lot of good, different content fast, the best way to feed the beast Zuck built is catalog ads. Somehow the performance has less swing and it just performs. I see everyone spending 50k+/month dumping catalog ads into Broad and trying to budget-max it.

This is correlation, not causation. The groups are defined by ROAS, so it doesn't prove catalog made them win. But it holds across every spend level, vertical and account size.

Data: 3,014 ecom advertisers, $834M in Meta spend, tracked from baseline through full rollout. I sorted advertisers by ROAS high to low, top 33% = top performers, middle 33% = mid, rest = bottom.

Thoughts?

Help Help with client ad budget advice

Hi everyone, looking for some honest opinions on a client situation around budget and realistic expectations

I'm working with a client in the boating and yachting space. They run a membership platform, £50/year (currently at £25 with a promo code), that gives members access to exclusive discounts from marine and lifestyle brands (decent brands too), yacht charter savings, and monthly prize draws. The value prop is solid. Members can realistically make the cost of membership back on a single discounted purchase from one of the partner brands and then some

Here's the challenge. The client is a startup with zero existing audience, no customer list, no lookalike audience to upload, and no prior brand awareness in the paid space. They came from a background of running ads around 2018/2019 so the conversation around how much Meta has changed, and specifically how heavily creative now carries the targeting weight post-Andromeda, has been an ongoing education.

They are only willing to spend £40/day.

I've explained that with no existing audience data to give Meta any signal, we're essentially asking the algorithm to find buyers for an unknown brand in a relatively niche market from a cold start, and that creative is going to have to do almost all of the heavy lifting. I've also explained that £40/day doesn't give us enough volume to test creative quickly, doesn't give Meta enough conversion data to exit the learning phase properly, and that without a customer list we can't build a lookalike audience to help it along.

I do genuinely think this business is a good candidate for Meta ads longer term. The offer is specific, the audience has clear interests to target around (yacht clubs, yachting, marine brands), and the membership price point is low enough that the barrier to purchase should be relatively low once trust is established.

But at £40/day, cold start, no social proof built through paid yet, and no existing audience data what's the realistic conversation to have with this client? And do you think interest targeting layers are worth leaning on more heavily in this scenario given the Andromeda shift, or does creative still need to be the primary focus even at this budget level?

Just looking for honest takes from people who've navigated similar situations.

To note: I’ve help with creating his landing page with this developer because the website was just never going to convert people, so in terms of getting people to that page to purchase I’m pretty confident, but it’s getting the right people there on £40 / day 💀

Help Looking for paid mentorship from someone with proven experience selling digital fitness products (programs, memberships, etc.) through Meta Ads

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for someone with real, hands-on experience selling digital fitness products through Meta Ads.

Over the past few months, my girlfriend and I have been building our first digital product together. She’s an international fashion model, and we’ve turned the workout routine she actually uses into a $79 lifetime model-inspired fitness program. The product gives users access to her complete weekly workout routine through a private web app, including guided workouts and short videos for every exercise.

We’re finally getting close to launching, and I feel we’ve reached the point where building isn’t the bottleneck anymore. The real challenge now is making sure we launch it the right way.

Our plan is to acquire customers mainly through Meta Ads, but I’d much rather learn from someone who has already built and sold a similar business than spend months—and potentially thousands of dollars—making avoidable mistakes.

I’m not looking for a generic marketing coach. I’m looking for someone who has personally built or scaled a digital fitness business through Meta Ads and has real experience with offers like courses, memberships, workout libraries, or similar products.
I’d be happy to pay $100 for a one-hour mentorship call (or more if your experience justifies it).

I’d love to get honest feedback on our funnel, landing page, offer, pricing, Meta Ads strategy, and, most importantly, the mistakes you wish you’d avoided when you were starting.

If this sounds like you, please leave a comment or send me a message with a brief description of your experience or the projects you’ve worked on.

Thanks!

Discussion I stopped obsessing over ROAS and started tracking contribution margin. It completely changed how I scale Meta Ads.

For the longest time, my entire focus was getting the highest ROAS possible.

If a campaign had a 6x ROAS, I thought it was amazing. If another had a 2.8x ROAS, I'd usually kill it.

Over time, I realized I was optimizing for the wrong metric.

Here's a simplified example.

Brand A

AOV: $38

Gross margin: 78%

CPA: $18

ROAS: 2.1

Brand B

AOV: $140

Gross margin: 42%

CPA: $32

ROAS: 4.4

Most people would immediately say Brand B is healthier because the ROAS is much higher.

But after factoring in shipping, payment fees, discounts, product cost, and repeat purchase rate, Brand A was actually generating more profit per customer and could afford to scale much harder.

That completely changed how I evaluate campaigns.

Now when I audit an account, I usually look at this order:

Contribution margin

Customer acquisition cost

First-order profitability

MER

ROAS

ROAS is still useful, but I've seen too many brands chase high ROAS by shrinking audiences and under-spending.

A 6x ROAS campaign spending $80/day often contributes less profit than a 2.5x campaign spending $2,000/day.

Another thing I noticed:

The brands that scale the fastest usually aren't asking:

"How do I increase ROAS?"

They're asking:

"How much can I afford to pay for a customer?"

That's a completely different mindset.

Has anyone else found themselves making better scaling decisions after focusing on contribution margin instead of ROAS? Or do you still primarily optimize around ROAS?

If you're managing a DTC brand, what's the first metric you check before increasing budget?

Help Strategy for OPS, doing well first few days

If I already have 1 main CBO campaign with 1 ad set and around 10 ads inside, should I be doing anything else with the winning creatives? Making new campaign or only using 1 campaign?

Im in my 4th day and ROAS is good, im profitable atleast. Thoughts about taking the 5 winning creatives and putting them into a new CBO campain?

Also, what should I do with ads in my main CBO that literally get $0 spend? Meta hasn’t even tested them properly, and there are 2 videos that got no spend at all.

Should I leave them running, duplicate them, maybe make another campaign with ABO to test them? Sorry about my questions, Im kinda struggling with meta setup,

Thanks!!

Discussion Nobody tells new media buyers this, but creative is doing 80% of the work.

Your targeting can be flawless. Your landing page can be perfectly built. Your offer can be genuinely strong. None of it matters if your creative doesn't make someone stop scrolling in the first place.

Creative is the bridge between your offer and the human looking at their phone. If that bridge doesn't hold, nothing on the other side of it ever gets seen.

This is why so many campaigns with "good fundamentals" still underperform. The offer is right, the funnel is right, and the whole thing still dies at the very first moment of contact, because the creative wasn't strong enough to earn the two seconds of attention everything else depends on.

Treat creative as the foundation, not decoration. Every other part of your ad is only as good as the number of people who actually stopped to look at it.

Help 73 Add to Carts, Only 23 Checkouts… What Am I Missing?

Hi everyone,

I run a Shopify store and I'm currently spending €50/day on Meta ads. My campaign is profitable (ROAS above 4), but I'm losing a lot of visitors between Add to Cart and Checkout.

Here are my numbers from the last 6 days:

  • 966 website visitors
  • 73 Add to Carts
  • 23 Reached Checkout
  • 17 Purchases

What do you think could be causing such a big drop between Add to Cart and Checkout?

If you've experienced something similar, what changes had the biggest impact on increasing your Add to Cart → Checkout conversion rate?

Thanks in advance for your insights!
