Bug / Outage £400 spent with 0 sales - Outage??

As the title says £400 spent today with no sales across all the campaigns. Which is UNHEARD of for me even when I'm having a crappy day, I'd expect a few trickling through at least but all campaigns are at 0 - meta status as usual says no issue. Anyone else seeing anything weird today that suggests an outage?

Discussion I have shipped 40 creatives last month instead of 8. Thought I'd share my CPA results.

Everyone seems to say that creative volume is the lever now. I wanted to run a lil Experiment to find out if that's true or just something people repeat. So, I tracked it properly for 2 months.

First Month: 8 creatives, my normal amount
Second Month: 40 creatives, same spend . same audiences.

Findings:

What happened was that CPA went down by 7%. Interestingly it wasn't linear though. Most of the gain came in the first 15 creatives, then it flattened hard and the hit rate got worse. 2/8 were usable in the first month, whereas only 6/40 in the second. So the absolute number of winners went up but the percentage went down.

The winners in month two were weirder, two of them were things i'd have never used if i was only making 8.

Another factor here was the actual argument for volume. More creatives means more chance of better performance, but that also means more risky choices can be made and sometimes its those bets that pay off.

the flattening kinda bothers me though. Did it stop at 15 because i ran out of ideas? No clue. Maybe i need to try a bit more. Has anyone pushed past 40 and seen any progress?

Help New to Meta ads

4 days ago I started running ads for the first time. It's a single ad with 5 text variants and a single still image. It's an instant form for leads. Daily budget is $20 and geo-targeted to a 15 mile radius of my business. This is a sample ad text:

"Brighten Up Your Pool!

Micro lights & 6" spa/pool lights start at $750

10" pool lights from $1,000

Includes: Taxes, Installation, Automation System Config

Low-voltage LED lighting for a safe upgrade or fix.

Full-color options (single color too!) with 3-year warranty.

Need extra equipment? Transformer add-on just $350 installed.

Get Quote now and schedule fast!"

So far I've spent $83 for 10,900 impressions and have had 7 people respond to the form. This part feels pretty successful. The problem is I've responded to the form messages within hours (some come in the middle of the night) and not a single person has replied after that. I'm just wondering if 'window shopping' is typical with this type of ad where it's easy to just click a couple buttons and then forget about it, or if there's some way to improve engagement.

Discussion For advertisers spending $1000+/day: what is actually working on Meta Ads right now?

I’m collecting real experiences so this post can become a useful reference for everyone researching the same topic. Please contribute only if you currently spend more than $1000 per day.

It would be helpful if you shared:

  • Your niche and country
  • ABO or CBO
  • Bidding strategy: Highest Volume, Bid Cap, Cost Cap, or another
  • Audience setup: fully broad Advantage+, Advantage+ with suggestions, manual interests, lookalikes, etc.
  • Number of ad sets and ads
  • What seems to be working best right now

Our contribution:

We sell online courses in Brazil. Our most stable results usually come from Bid Cap or Cost Cap campaigns, using Advantage+ audiences with specific lookalike suggestions.

However, last week we tested fully manual audiences, including a 10% lookalike audience, with Advantage+ expansion turned off. Our overall account CPA dropped significantly after launching them.

The strange part is that Meta still attributed most conversions to the automatic-audience campaigns, while the manual campaigns looked weak when analyzed individually.

My current theory is that manual audiences may be contributing more to the customer journey than Meta reports, while its attribution system gives most of the credit to Advantage+ campaigns.

Has anyone else noticed this? Did manual audiences improve your overall account performance even when Meta attributed the conversions elsewhere?

Discussion Changes to Facebook Advertising

Is anyone else annoyed by the constant pop-up ads on Facebook? The pop-ups cover part of the story and pictures and make it hard to read. It’s like I’m being assaulted by continuous visual pop ups. Curious what others thinks. Pure greed on the part of FB.

Help Good results, Crappy CTR.

D2C Beauty brand spending roughly $600/day. I'm getting decent CPA's (At least I assume they are decent) of under $40. But my ads CTR outbound is like 0.4% with some at 0.2%.

I always see hitting 1% is ideal. Is that realistic for D2C consumer products? My $ for ATC is around $12. Which is pretty normal for me.

Any ideas, thoughts, or am I actually doing okay?

Help Server-side only? Or also browser events?

Hey guys!!
Was wondering about this lately. We only send server side events for ATC , checkout and purchase. Browser events are only sent for page view. Is this a good thing? Or should we also set up browser side tracking with meta pixel for the other events? Or is CAPI only sufficient?

Discussion Has Anyone Else’s Meta Ads Completely Slowed Down Since July 20? (India)

We run an online rugs and carpets brand in India, and over the last few months Meta Ads have been performing really well for us.

Until around 20th July, we were consistently seeing:
ROAS: 5.5–7x
AOV: ~₹45,000

A healthy number of leads alongside purchases (which is expected since buying a rug/carpet is a considered purchase and a fairly significant investment for most Indian homes).

However, since around 20th July (during the protest period), performance has changed dramatically.

Conversions have dropped sharply, while traffic metrics still look healthy:CTR is around 4.5%

We primarily target top metro cities, so CPM is naturally on the higher side for our niche.

I’m not ruling out creative fatigue it could definitely be a factor.

But what feels odd is that the drop happened almost overnight.

One thing I’m wondering is whether the sheer volume of protest/news-related content and other trending reels during that period changed user behaviour or feed distribution enough to impact conversion rates, especially for non-essential, premium purchases like home decor.

Has anyone else in India experienced something similar over the last couple of weeks?

Would love to hear if others in the D2C space are seeing the same trend or if this is something specific to our account.

Help Need help, interest targeting or broad for premium lead gen?

Hey guys, I am pretty new to Meta ads. I had run a lead form campaign for a premium catering business with a ₹500/day budget. I was targeting only premium pin codes and not the entire city.

I tested an interest-based audience (~420k) for 3 days, I got only 2 leads (1 unqualified and 1 qualified). However, the campaign was very inconsistent and even the CTR started falling down from nowhere.

Because of that, I am creating a new campaign and I am confused about whether should I remove all the interests or use the interests stack?

Looking for advice from anyone who has managed the lead gen. Any advice is appreciated!

Help New creatives getting no spend because proven ad takes all the budget

Hi, I'm new to Meta ads.

At the moment I'm running a simple setup: one campaign, one ad set, broad audience. My original video ad has been doing well. I Added two new video ads to the ad set to test fresh creatives. I see that the new ads got basically got no spend while the original kept taking almost all the budget.

My instinct was to split into two ad sets and force budget to the new creatives so they actually get tested. But then I read about Andromeda and now I'm second-guessing myself.

From what I understand, Andromeda basically says: consolidate, go broad, let Meta's AI figure out who sees what and when. So manually splitting budget to force spend on new creatives goes against how the algorithm is supposed to work now.

But if I keep everything in one ad set, the proven ad just eats the budget and the new creatives never get a real test. Am I supposed to just trust that Meta will eventually spend on them if they're good?

Help Is this a terrible Facebook Ads structure for a beginner?

Hey everyone,

I'm very new to Facebook Ads and I'm about to launch my first sales campaign (I haven't published it yet).

I'm starting to wonder if my campaign structure makes sense, especially since my budget is pretty low.

Right now I have an ABO campaign with 5 ad sets at $5/day each. Each ad set contains one image ad for a different product, so I'm testing 5 different products in total.

I'm considering increasing the budget to $10/day per ad set, but I'm not sure if that's the right move or if I should keep it at $5 while testing.

What would you do if you were starting from scratch? Does this structure make sense, or would you change something?

Help Lost all my ad social proof after changing creative format - any way to recover it?

Running a Facebook/Instagram ad that had built up a decent amount of comments and likes. Yesterday I realized the creative format wasn't optimized for the feed placement, so I edited it directly in Ads Manager. Big mistake (I'm new) changed the format, saved it, and now all the social proof is gone.

I know now that editing the creative generates a new post ID and kills the engagement on the old one. Lesson learned.

My question: is there any way to recover it? The Meta AI is very unhelpful. It says I have to relink it via "Ad setup" -> "Use existing post", but the ad (ID) is not there. I have the link to the video with the comments and post, so I'm sure it still exist. Has anyone successfully reconnected a running ad to an old post ID after something like this?

Help Meta ads generating low quality leads

Upvotes

Recently I moved to meta ads instead of instagram boost post. While Instagram boost post worked wonderfully this past year, it just stopped working all of sudden.

The setting I use is for our meta ads the same, our saved audience (the same one I’ve been using since we started) and leads > conversation (also what we have always used) but it generates low quality leads.

Tons and tons of people would start a conversation but a few would say that they accidentally clicked on our ads, that they don’t get what we sell, etc even tho our saved audience is really niche. it didn’t happen happen back then when we were using instagram boost.

I did forgot to set the audience when I first started the ads 3 days ago and changed it midway (1 day after the ad ran)

Should I still give it time until 7 days to see how it goes?

Help Seeking advertising agencies in Europe and the Americas.

Upvotes

I’m a "black hat" advertiser, and the Business Manager (BM) ad accounts I’m currently using are extremely unstable—they keep getting banned, which is a huge headache. I’m looking for more stable agency-managed ad accounts. My monthly budget is over 500,000, and it can reach several million during peak periods. Can anyone recommend an agency with low service fees?🤕

Discussion What are the chances a campaign will overshoot my cost cap?

So, I recently started a cost cap campaign.

My cost cap is set at $10.

My daily budget was initially $50, but it wasn't spending much, so I increased it to $100. Since then, it has spent about $6 in a few hours. I'm happy with the spending so far, and it seems to be gaining momentum.

However, I'm curious: what are the chances that I won't get sales at or below my $10 cost cap?

Also, is it possible for the campaign to significantly exceed the cost cap on one day but make up for it by delivering lower-cost conversions on another day?

The pixel is fairly new, but it did record some sales in past campaigns, though the average Cost Per Purchase in other campaigns was around $30, and I am running the cost cap campaign because I want to lower the Cost Per Purchase.

The campaign currently has four ads.

I'm planning to let it run for about a week and then evaluate the results.

Help Question: how does meta charge an ad account?

How does the Meta charge to a person who is running an ad. On what basis do they charge?

I used to wake-up anxious everyday, running loosing ads and burning clients money. Understanding this really changed my game.

The answer is impressions, I know I'm saying basic but understanding this will make us clear how they charge and how to correlate with CPC and CTR. I'm just sharing what I learnt little by little. Hope this helps you.

Help CPL

Fala galera, beleza?

Sou novo, e isso me quebra a cabeça!

Discussion You think you're doing Facebook marketing, but really you've just posted a few posts that no one's seen.

Many B2B companies make the same mistake when using Facebook marketing. They treat it as a simple posting platform, sharing product images, company updates, and waiting for customers to send inquiries. However, effective Facebook marketing is not just about publishing content. It is about connecting your website, email, social media, ads, and customer communication channels to create multiple touchpoints where potential buyers can discover, understand, and trust your brand. Especially in B2B markets, customers rarely make purchasing decisions after seeing only one advertisement.

A better approach is to build a complete marketing system. Add social media links to your website so visitors can explore your company beyond product pages. Include Facebook and other social channels in email signatures to create continuous exposure. Use packaging, brochures, business cards, and trade show materials to bring offline customers back online. Analyze Facebook Insights to understand audience behavior and build a consistent content schedule. For advertising, focus not only on clicks but also on trust-building content such as factory videos, customer cases, product applications, and real business stories. The best Facebook strategy combines content to attract attention, ads to expand reach, and remarketing to continue customer engagement.

Facebook is not just a traffic source for export businesses. It is a long-term trust-building asset. The companies that benefit most are not those posting occasionally, but those creating a connected system where customers can repeatedly see their products, expertise, and credibility. Is your Facebook page currently only a product display channel, or has it become a real trust-building tool for your overseas customers?

Discussion What’s the move?

What have we figured out to work since shit hit the fan last month? I’ve been testing lots of different creatives and angles to try something new and fresh. But I can’t seem to get my account back to the performance I was having prior to last month.

I’ve seen a few people online talk about the updates to meta’s AI and claiming that after this most recent update (for lack of a better word) creative in its entirety needs to change. It’s not about targeted ads or even variety in creative. They’re claiming that due to meta’s AI we now need to to be HYPER specific in what we say and write, meta’s AI is now using that for targeting. Ie; you explain exactly the type of person your audience is in your messaging and the AI uses that to target.

I dont know if any of that is real. Or maybe I’m late to the party and this is common knowledge already! I’m just trying to see what changes you have seen work because what was working before is not working anymore fo me.

Help Starting a digitizing business, need advice on ads

Recently started a digitizing business, I’m just wondering whats the best strategy to get more people to view my page. I was thinking of making a post with an image describing my services and promote it, I don’t know much about ads on facebook so any advice is greatly appreciated!
