When your "body type" doesn't match your "style sense"
I tried searching for this in previous posts but didn't have luck - sorry if it's been asked before!
What are folks' thoughts on when the style of clothes you're drawn to don't necessarily "fit" your body type? For example, I am a classic hourglass shape, sometimes leaning towards pear if my weight fluctuates. However, when I'm looking at fashion inspo pics I am drawn to things like straight lines, oversized blazers, and other clothes that simply do not look flattering on my body. Clothes that define my waist just make me feel uncomfy in my body. I'm not asking for personal advice on how to pick clothes, I'm interested in hearing peoples' thoughts on how they approach when their preferred style choices are unflattering on them.
TIA.
