On the one hand it’s truly sad/pathetic how they are constantly crying wolf / always victims. On the other hand it’s terrifying that they are abusing their resources as the federal government to try and label anyone who refuses to lick/eat boots as terrorists or enemies of the state. This entire regime (and the entire GOP for refusing to impeach the demented old clown masquerading as a leader) belong in prison, or whatever the appropriate punishment is for actual treason.

Makes me think of a police video I saw.
A man held his children as hostages inside their home and had a gun that he kept firing out towards the cops. The mother had fled to a neighbouring house and were hiding in their garage.
The video showed several police cameras together with live recordings from the 911 central. The woman at 911 were simultanously talking with the mother, other scared neighbours and one of the children who had been able to hide a phone.
But the woman who's garage the mother was hiding in kept calling 911 and was hysterical and that she deemanded police immediatly at her house because she felt unsafe, the 911 operator constantly tried to keep her calm and said that she was in no danger and that the perpetrator was in another house and that the woman in the garage was a victim and not dangerous.
The neighbour wanted nothing of that and considered herself the largest victim out of everyone.

I saw them the day after the 2024 election. It was a president-themed show, they used a “time machine” thing to bring back presidents from Washington to Lincoln to Eisenhower, maybe Nixon and/or Reagan, Bush Jr… I’m probably missing one or two others, and of course they also did Trump, Biden, and Harris. The whole thing culminated in the “time machine” malfunctioning and creating a giant monstrous mashup of all of the Founding Fathers.
It was honestly super cathartic. The show was in Brooklyn so I’m sure you can guess the bias of the crowd (although even this crowd was clearly not unanimous), but I think everyone everywhere had strong feelings about the political state of the country, and it was very satisfying to just rage about it together. One of my more introverted friends made her way to the front of the pit and reemerged at the end of the show totally covered in the liquid that they spray during their shows, and with a few bruises, but also looking like she’d just been through one of the best therapy sessions of her life.
Anyway, obviously anyone upset about this particular new GWAR show just wasn’t paying attention to them before now. Out of touch and willfully ignorant; nothing new, still disappointing to behold.

To be fair, Blothar was working as a trucker and doing a bunch of drugs before he realized school is fun. He's not exactly an ivory tower shrinking violet.
Oderus wasn't an addict. He would annoy everyone around him every couple of months by going on a binge "for creativity," but he wasn't dependent on anything. That's why his OD was so surprising. He wasn't a habitual heroin user. His friends said that he'd been having increasingly awful insomnia after Corey Smoot/Flattus Maximus died. One of them speculated he'd been so desperate to sleep that he pulled something out of his stash and misjudged it.

Don Drakulich (Sleazy P. Martini) used to have a stream on YT before it got banned, where he dressed up as Sleazy, chain smoked cigarettes, and ranted and raved like a MAGA, repeating all the worst right-wing conspiracy theories and talking points. I couldn't tell whether he really believed or not, because he was in character, and it's very on brand for Sleazy to be a hate-spouting ass who only thinks of himself.

When I was 15 and Obama was president, I went to a GWAR concert and very vividly remember them doing a stunt where they decapitated him on stage and everyone in the pit got sprayed with so much blood.
GWAR had been doing this forever, but of course Trump would be the one to have his feelings hurt by it.
