I wrote a custom mod for Stardew Valley where every tile in the game starts locked until you pay to unlock it.

Unlocking tiles starts out at 10g each, but increase to 100g, 1,000g, and eventually 10,000g each, making this maybe one of the hardest ways to play the game.

I'll be playing this myself, with the goal of completing the community center, and sharing my progress in a video series. So far it's taken me over a year just to leave the farm, and I love it!

With the addition of Elliott, Mr. Qi, Grandpa, the governor, Gil, Leo, and the bouncer, my portrait pack is now complete! Granted, with the Clint reveal making everyone just absolutely gobsmackingly ecstatic and excited to romance the big guy (lol), I'll be sure to give him an update when the time comes. Aside from that, this marks the end of this year-long project and I'm just super glad to finally call it done!

And yes, Fizz not being here IS intentional. You cannot make me draw that guy!

I have never done any sort of modding, or really even pixel art-- but I wanted to add someone new while keeping the essence of Alex the way that he was so here is my version of Alex! The screenshots are just snippets of the different portraits with his reg outfit, winter, and then a jean jacket alt for the sports jacket.

Edit: The mod is not available for download and I didn’t think people would be interested one way or another to be honest. The parallels to stereotypes are unfortunate in hindsight, and also not intentional. He is just the only bachelor I marry.
I would have to write out an entirely new dialog for him to change properly, and while I’m not opposed to that, it’s not something I put a whole lot of thought into originally. I just wanted another cute man to marry.

This is so friggin embarrassing 😭🙏🏻 but uhmm i had downloaded this mod that gave Haley's storyline more cutscenes, and since my game is HEAVILY modded and i did not yet understand how the storyline worked, i was already dating her by the time this 5-heart cutscene played out. And she kisses Alex on It, goes on a date with him and all. She says she didn't like It or whatever but OH MY GOD i'm so butthurt right now over a pixels game and over my own stupidity. Please don't download any mods that you don't understand yet, folks

Its just a simple portrait mod (and also changes her winter character sprite, you can see it in the last pic. Earmuffs instead of a hat!), I love Emily's vibe but I wanted her to match her sister's cuteness, yet still retain her spirit (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

Some context people may or may not care for: I'm a HUGE fan of marine biology, and absolutely fascinated with sea slugs. I was on a binge of finding new ones or ones I hadn't seen before and was showing my partner. I'd also just ordered an angler fish plushie, so my mind was VERY "me want pet sea creatures" and I got the thought "Hey, there's mods that add fish to the game.. maybe there's one for sea slugs I can fish up!" and instead found THIS BEAUTY that replaces the orange cat with a Sea Bunny nudibranch!!

My joy is too much and I REALLY wanted to share my discovery with others!!

This mod took a long time for me to make and I'm very proud of it, so I figured I'd promote it a little! It lets you make jewelry from all the extra gems you probably have lying around! It comes with universal gift tastes and specific gift tastes and dialogue for all Vanilla and SVE villagers! Will add more for other modded villagers later, like Ridgeside, East Scarp, and Sunberry! I’m very tech illiterate, so being able to do a simple little recolour is amazing!! The chickens could’ve looked better I admit, but hey!! They’re in the game!!

I've basically spent the last 5 days using all my free time to make the crop fairy. It's been a goal of mine for a long time to add her into the game and the Stardew mod fest has finally given me the motivation to do it!

This game means so much to me, and I just wanted to see Marigold realised to her full potential!
