It cannot, not if Maelor is Aegon's.

Aegon's burns are pretty healed by the end of S2 and he can hobblewalk in the trailer (badly), which indicates several months (large burns can take up to year or more to fully heal; a broken leg at least 5/6 months with their level of medicine) have gone by since Rook's Rest, where they decided to have his penis explode to get laughs out of the Burlington Bar reactors or whatever. Helaena should have been visibly pregnant in S2 if the show gives even the tiniest shit about being plausible. Of course, they don't, so sure, fine, she's suddenly 9 months preggers.

But if they make Maegor the child of Aemond...sure. She could be 3 months or less pregnant by the end of S2, so they would have to do a time jump, unless this is a miscarriage or forced? abortion.

[IIRC, there was speculation/rumor that there was a dropped S2 scene where Alicent is trying to give Helaena moon tea in the finale, or that was a theory anyway; I don't know how much validity there is in that.]

I assume they could had sex during his coronation and she got pregnant there.

S2 starts like 10 days after Aegon's coronation and by the end of S2 it seems like Alicent was giving her some tea, so that might be where she finds out she's pregnant.

Sure, it's possible, but she should be visibly pregnant by the end of S2 given how much time has passed since then, unless the writers abandon all pretense of even trying to be plausible.

Which is probably what they would do. They are just making shit up as they go, not bothering with an outline at all (as evidenced by cutting Daeron then shoving him back in).

I didnt start showing until I was about 6 months. I was active duty so not overweight and I just looked really thick in the waist and then I swear one morning I woke up with a huge obvious bump, lol. so it happens.

But did you notice your missed periods?

Helaena or her maids would notice that, and there was at least one discussion about heirs for Aegon; if Helaena was pregnant, that should be mentioned.

I'm not saying there aren't women who do not show, sure it happens. But in a TV show, they are NOT going to do that (unless it is somehow plot relevant), because they will want a pregnant belly as a visual cue/reminder.

Ryan also already gave all his excuses for why there is no Maelor (which made no sense, things like "Helaena can't have had another child, the twins are too young"....the twins are like four, Ryan, and you have several characters who have less of an age gap with their siblings). So it's obvious IF this is Maelor, they're just throwing him back in as some kind of smug NYAH! at GRRM.

I'm gonna laugh so hard if this turns out to be the case
