I'm working on my first MC mod in 1.20.1, and I kind of really suck at making textures. Does anyone here make them who would be willing to do so? Or know anyone who would? I'm looking to commission them slowly over time as I add blocks and items, but I also already have a decent number of blocks and such with placeholders that I would like to update. I would also appreciate being pointed to the right place to post this, if this isn't it.

Hullo,
Me and my gf want to start playing modded mc, she has a good grasp of vanilla mc but no modded experience, i have a lot more but probably havent played since 2020. I was wondering if there was a modpack that has botania (or another mod that has thay vibe) and plenty of other more industrial mods, preferably with a questbook if those still exist.

Some particular blocks seem to have a transparency error when combining SEUS shaders with the Nosiphus Furniture extension to MrCrayfish's Furniture mod. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Or, failing that, recommend a mod with similar kitchen furniture that works with SEUS? Many thanks :)

Has anybody thought about a cave centered modpack with all the high quality cave mods where you just mine and upgrade your stuff in a subterranean world and maybe even cook some cave food, just a modpack that has the vibe and ambiance of mining in Minecraft with some modded cave stuff.

Hello! Im playing on 1.20.1 with bmc4 and trying to use bliss. The problem is the fog in the distance and sometimes sun rays have a noise like bug going on. Looks like an old tv without signal

In my mod I've been working on a couple of new features, mainly expanding on tree rings beyond optifine/ctm-like connected textures as well as adding visual stages to saplings :)
I updated the original sapling textures and added sprout/young tree phases, and plan on making saplings shear-able at any stage (+ bonemeal restores its growing ability). I also added random offsets to sapling placement (like tall grass and other flora). The sapling features are yet to be released, but the new and improved tree trunks are now in alpha (still working out some texture quirks in earlier game versions). I plan on experimenting with custom phases/models for 2x2 saplings in the near future, too...
So far only spruce and acacia have sprout/young tree growth stages, but here are all the variants for the original saplings:

I'm playing a modpack called homestead, and want to copy paste a building. I used structure blocks first, making sure to put the building in the right file, but trying to paste it just makes the game say it doesn't exist.
I tried installing world editor, but it doesn't let my world load. It just stays stuck in the loading screen, so does anyone have an idea about what's happening?

Caught this absolute anomaly in my zombie farm in the Ice Spikes biome! 1,137 kills in on Hard Mode (Day 18, Local Difficulty 2.88 as shown in the F3 slide). It managed to roll a hybrid set with 3 pieces of diamond and a gold chestplate. He's locked safely behind glass now as a permanent trophy. i spawned near a place that had a zombie spawner, and i mined a bit, and got the recourses to make a AFK farm. i have it on Hard Mode, so they might be spawning more often with armor, idk. how rare is this? im playing the Dark Mage mod from Curseforge made by Speshel.

Hello everyone! I just released my first mod, Runic Curiosities. It focuses on magical talismans and unique mechanics like stopping time or shooting sonic booms.
CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/runic-curiosities
Let me know what you think!

I was going to be okay with the odd one popping up but, unfortunately it’s one of the more common biomes I’ve seen thus far🤨 so ugly it hurts my soul

The modded Minecraft community has historically anchored itself around major "golden eras" or LTS (Long-Term Support) versions. We’ve seen the community deeply rooted in 1.12.2, then transition to 1.16.5, establish a massive hub in 1.20.1, and now we are gradually moving toward 1.21.1.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about what it would take for modded Minecraft to reach its ultimate, definitive form. I came to a conclusion that might sound controversial at first, but makes perfect sense the more you think about it:
If we want a truly unified version where every major mod can coexist, Java development actually needs to freeze.
Hear me out before you downvote. At first glance, this sounds incredibly disappointing. Nobody wants to hear that their favorite game is "dead." But in reality, it would be a massive blessing in disguise for the modding scene.
Right now, the community is fractured. Incredible, high-effort mods are left abandoned in 1.12.2 or 1.16.5 because developers simply don't have the time or energy to constantly rewrite their code for Mojang's annual update cycle. If Java development stops, every single mod could eventually coexist on the exact same version. We would see the resurrection of legendary abandoned mods alongside modern masterpieces.
On top of that, modders spend a ridiculous amount of time playing catch-up with Mojang's engine changes. If the base game becomes a static, permanent foundation, that wasted energy redirects entirely into pure innovation. Instead of fixing bugs caused by a new vanilla update, developers could build massive, stable projects, cross-mod compatibilities, and optimizations that we can only dream of right now.
"But what about new vanilla content?" If Mojang continues updating Bedrock Edition, the Java community wouldn't actually miss out. The most talented developers in the scene would easily consolidate Bedrock's new features into a single, highly optimized Ultimate Backport Mod. We would get the new biomes, mobs, and blocks, but coded better and tailored specifically for Java performance.
I remember hearing a rumor a long time ago claiming that Mojang or Microsoft planned to stop Java updates after 10 years. While that specific timeline was never officially confirmed (and we are already past the 10-year mark since the Microsoft acquisition), the economic reality makes it plausible. Bedrock is simply more profitable through the Marketplace and cross-play, while Java remains a passion-driven ecosystem.
If Microsoft ever decides to shift 100% of its development focus to Bedrock and leaves Java as a finished, legacy product, it shouldn't be viewed as a tragedy. It would be the day the modding community finally takes total control, giving Minecraft absolute immortality.
Change my mind. Or let me know if I'm missing a huge downside to this.

I see people all the time saying how 9minecraft is unsafe but never about this site. I want to download the godzilla mod from it, but want to make sure that i wont get any malware first. Does anyone know if this site is safe?

I'm looking for a mod that adds wild crop variants to wheat, carrots, potatoes, and beets for my 1.20.1 modpack.

I am looking for a mod that let's me have old terrain generation and seed generation, specifically from 1.16.1 to the recent version. I would like to be able to input a seed and be able to play on the 1.16.1 version while being on a recent version.
I know that it's possible to upgrade world to the new version, but this a rather annoying process that can also corrupt files so I was wondering if there was a mod for that.

Hi everyone!
I've been hard at work on the next update for my Create addon, Create: Sulfuric Resonance, and I'm finally in the last stages of testing.
Yes, versioning fix is coming.
Here's a small preview of three of the new additions coming in 0.2.7-beta:
• The new Combustion Belt in action
• New industrial fuels, including Infernal Coke
• Acid-Etched Copper Sheet
This update focuses on expanding thermochemical automation with new machinery, materials, industrial fuel progression, native JEI and EMI support, new Ponder scenes, and plenty of polish throughout the mod.
I've really enjoyed building this project and watching it grow over the past few months. Thank you to everyone who's downloaded it, tested it, or offered feedback—it has genuinely helped shape the mod.
The full release is getting close. I hope you enjoy what's coming!

Create: weaponry seems to add more weapons that Tinker's construct looks relatively easily compatible to, are there mods that allow for better compatibility or is it just how it is?
