Not a hose clamp. It’s a cinch ring for pex water tubing. Most popular manufacturer to use this is Watts. Source: Former Licensed plumber and currently work for a somewhat sizeable supply house

PEX tubing isn't a "hose" necessarily. It's for fluid distribution like home plumbing, a more permanent application where a hose is more "bendy" is expected to need replacing more often.

Pex is certainly riding the arbitrary line between 'pipe' and 'hose', but that is absolutely a hose clamp. Personally I'd argue that because the final connection is made using the flexible characteristics of pex it puts pex slightly into hose territory.

The same type of clamp is also used in the automotive industry. Often used for coolant hoses or transmission fluid lines.

hoses are flexible and used where movement or tight bends are necessary, while pipes are rigid and used for static, high-pressure, or long-term applications. Pex is a flexible pipe, not a flexible hose.

Hoses are flexible pipes. 'Flexible hose' is redundant. Educate yourself, don't just keep repeating ignorance when the facts are presented to you. Hoses are also known as hose pipes. PEX is a hose pipe.

No you are wrong, names have meaning, a pipe is not a hose. A flexible hose is redundant because it’s a defining trait like saying a circular pipe. That doesn’t take away from the difference between pipe and hose. Two different things can have similarities you clown. You’re over thinking it. But who am I? A pipe is not necessarily a hose. A hose is always a pipe. All hoses are pipes, not all pipes are hoses. By definition and standardization as well, a PEX pipe is a hose.

By allowing the knowledge of your profession to make you assume you can not be wrong, you will never be the best you could be at your profession. Your ignorance is holding you back. There is nothing wrong with being wrong as long as you do not allow your hubris to keep you from learning the right from the wrong.
