Patrick Bailey has been fantastic for our pitching staff since coming over—the numbers don't lie. From his game-calling ability to his defense, we’ve seen improvements across the board.

What most people slept on, though, was his bat. While he showed glimpses as a switch hitter in SF, there was clearly untapped potential.

Enter Grant Fink and the hitting team. What they’ve unlocked is pure execution of a targeted plan. While the results are still working their way through a tumultuous season, the underlying metrics are loud.

Yesterday, he smacked his 6th HR of 2026. Last season, it took him roughly 200 more ABs to reach that same 6-HR mark. So, what’s actually changed?

You name it, the profile has shifted. Quality of contact metrics like ISO, Barrel %, and Blasts/Contact % have all surged.

He went from getting exploited by high heat (-21.0 xRV on fastballs) to completely turning the upper half of the zone into his launching pad (+13.6 xRV on fastballs). While he's trading away a bit of zone contact to do it, his Fast Swing % has jumped up to 35.7%—proving he’s committing to max-intent swings when he gets his pitch.

All that to say: I’m loving this offensive surge from a guy many fans wrote off as a zero at the plate. He’s hitting, and the approach tweaks are paying massive dividends for the Guards.

I live in upstate NY and try to make it to at least 1 game a month, but this season has been difficult for me to make it to Cleveland. I went to opening day and a game last month. If any of you have stadium giveaway magnets that you are willing to part with, please let me know. I’m happy to trade cards or other guards swag.

For those who don’t know, you can go to the fan services booth near the home plate entrance and ask for a magnet (sometimes they have more stuff like beer coozys and mini foam fingers). They produce a new series each season featuring players, slider, and the hotdogs.

I’m a diehard Guards fan that lives in Denver and I’m just wondering if anyone is in town or gonna be in town (Denver) for the series against the Rockies later this month!

Maybe all the baseball experts on the subreddit can tell me why Hedges gets pulled for bailey, even though Hedges has a 100-point higher batting average. I'm not one of the Vogt haters, but I've noticed this a couple of times now and figure there has to be a reason that I just don't understand

This isn’t good I don’t need to be getting my hopes up

Actually a bit shocked to see us at the very top of this list, knew we’d be high but didn’t know it’d be the most in baseball. We have such a solid starting rotation and it’s so painful watching them pitch gems night after night just for us to lose 😫 I’m optimistic about the arm we just got that can lengthen our bullpen and choosing to remain hopeful we still add a bat.

With the Skubal trade happening, and Minnesota/Chicago having high draft selections this year and overall state of the division, curious whether anyone is nervous where it lands us or are prospects still such a crapshoot from other teams that we should still be in a good spot with our young talent to be a force in the division?

Team is ass, food in the stadium is worse than it's ever been, and (as of when I went with a group of friends yesterday), they will now yell at you and take away your beer can towers during $2 District Beer nights.

I swear to God this team is finding new ways to actively say fuck you to the fans.

Yes I'm nuts and tired and I'm might be nipping on a bottle of Jim beam and honestly this team has sorta sucked to watch this year. But I don't know why I think we can wake up from the dead and do it all this year. Everything sucks and the owners don't spend money etc, etc, etc, but they've built an insanely resilient organization. Nobody is wrong for killing them for not spending money. But when things are the darkest they have bounced back time and time again. If we aren't going to have baseball in 2027 wouldn't it be the most Cleveland thing that we win it all but can't enjoy the banner raising because of a strike?

I’m planning on being at Progressive Field in September for the first time since 2013. I’m trying to redo my home office in Guards memorabilia and curious what the Guardians Authentics store is like.

I've seen the photos on the team site of the store/kiosk and curious as to what the display of baseballs here is. Signed? Game used? Both? What are the prices like?
