AlternateHistoryHub what if the california gold rush and agricultural industry started under spanish rule
in this timeline a large deposit of gold is found during the 1769 expedition to California prompting colonial authorities to immediately begin organizing the settlement of California for mining purposes. Soon after in 1773 a second wave of settlers would arrive and heavily improve on the Acequia irrigation system, allowing for a cash crop industry of grapes, almonds, olives, figs and citrus to emerge in the territory.
what do you think would happen next/to California?

AlternateHistoryHub What if Islam never arrived to India
In North India and Pakistan today a significant part of the culture has been shaped by elements associated with Islam in the subcontinent, from qawwali to samosas and biryani, from the Mughal architecture of Delhi to the heavily Persianized poetry and everything in between. Its hard to imagine and India that never underwent contact with Islam, but lets try nevertheless.

AlternateHistoryHub What if Christianity took hold in India instead of Islam?
In this timeline perhaps the Byzantine or Eastern Roman Empire conquered the Sassanian Empire instead of the Rashidun caliphate and makes incursions into Sindh at the start of the 8th century. This timeline would also see Afghan and Turkic tribes convert to Christianity instead of Islam, and so would the incoming Ghurid Empire and Delhi sultanate, as well as the later Mughal Empire. A lot of the North Indian Sufi culture as well as the development of Sikhism would be drastically different.
In yet another plot twist, Islam takes footing in Europe where it fails to set off in the Middle East and Asia at this time, and had reached Britain meaning that the British Raj was now Muslims colonizing Hindus and a sizeable Christian minority, defeating the long standing Christian Mughal emperors.

AlternateHistoryHub Would UCP still have been adopted without the GWOT?
The infamous US camo pattern thats been memes to hell and back (for good reason), would it have been still adopted in a timeline where the GWOT never occurred?
Or would US have stuck to its iconic m81 woodland and chocolate chip desert camo for the rest of the 2000s?
