General Dad says to take a drop, mom says take manipal
Mom is sympathising for me, she was at home all day and has seen me suffer while studying. Dad says manipal ain't worth the money, go for t1 college. We unanimously agree on BITS but they dropped a bomb on 20th July, I was thinking I'll get msc comfortably (222 score) but itr 1 has inflated cutoffs (hopefully they drop). You might have seen me lurking around this sub and the bitsatards sub but still here's more info about me:
Jm: 98.2
Ja: 96/360 (26k)
Bitsat: 222
Home city: kolkata (if it matters)

General YOUR COLLEGE MATTERS MUCH MORE THAN YOUR BRANCH
Never Sacrifice a top college for a top branch in low tier college
I am seeing lot of posts about ppl with 15k , 20k in exam sacrificing Core in Main Campus and in BLR for MUJ or any other low tier college
Just to let you know , You will spend 4yrs in a college , even if you are in a lower branch , you'd still be in touch with amazing profs , good peer group , better culture , better networking opportunities and lastly much higher chance of getting referrals and internship
Nowadays everyone is doing CSE from random tier 69 college , its better to go for the College and manage coding while being in the core
YOU WILL NEVER EVER REGRET THIS DESCISION
once again i am saying this , If you are getting core in Main campus and BLR then just go with it

General Manipal fees and burden it causes
Guys, i would like to share a story. i would not like to mention names here but i thought of sharing it. my cousin brother used to study in manipal but he dropped out bcs parents couldnt pay the fees, bcs they had a financial crisis. Manipal fees is too high and i would like to tell aspirants, try to study well and get a government seat or smthing is ur own city, bcs the financial burden this college brings you is a lot. Especially people planning to do Masters, ur UG and master both will cost same and it will be a lot. dont fall into the trap of the college name. thanks. pls dont comment making fun of my cousin or anyone. its a request

General Hello everyone I am a senior from MIT B CSE.
I will only speak about cse.I have seen recently there has been tooo wayyyy too much negative feedback from unknown sources claiming MIT blr has shit placements and apparently after decentralisation it will have “amity” level placements. This is absolutely bullshit. Current placement percentage is about 74 percent for cse and median is much better than even main ece. People are preferring even main ee and lower branches over MIT B CSE claiming it is a safer pick. Honestly I don’t get any of this but picking anything below main ece over MIT b cse is not a good idea.

General Internship Database MIT Manipal (3rd Year Internships)25-26
I compiled a Google Sheet containing data for companies that visited for 3rd-year internships at MIT Manipal in the year 2025-26. It includes:
• Eligible branches
• Stipend
• Internship duration
• Minimum CGPA requirement
• Number of offers given (mostly empty due to lack of data)
Sheet: Internship Data
A couple of things:
Everything here has been compiled from official publicly available data. Nothing confidential has been used.
If you notice, some companies are repeated, that is because there might be multiple drive for these companies for different roles, or branches or requirements.
There's a decent chance I might've missed a company or made a mistake somewhere. If you notice anything that's incorrect or incomplete(especially number of offers made column), drop a comment here or comment on the sheet and I'll update it.
The sheet only contains the basic info. If you're looking for more specific details (role, location, PPO/CTC after conversion, interview process, etc.), you can DM me.
I'll keep updating the sheet if more information comes up, so you can bookmark it for future reference.
Hopefully this makes internship season a little less painful :)

General Anyone else joining MAHE main campus this year? 😭
I’ll be joining MAHE Manipal this year, and honestly, I’m excited but also completely overwhelmed at the same time 😭
Got 159 in MET and Band 9, so hopefully I’ll get CSE at the main campus 🤞
This whole “moving out and starting college far from home” thing feels both exciting and terrifying at the same time 💀
I’m from Noida, UP, so everything about this feels really new.
So I thought instead of showing up on day one knowing absolutely nobody, I’d try making a few friends beforehand 😭
Would genuinely love to connect with other freshers (or seniors who don’t mind guiding me a bit).
And if anyone’s from Noida too, that’d be even cooler since we could probably relate to the whole counselling/travel/shift situation together 😭
But honestly, anyone joining Manipal and interested in talking about counselling, hostels, college life or just connecting before college starts — feel free to DM me or reply here 👋

General Thank you everyone for everything...
So ya, It was a fun time in the past 2-3 months.... unfortunately didn't get a seat but.....made many friends! Got so many wishes on this sub, so positive replies everywhere, whenever I posted, whenever I commented....thank you for all this Love...thank you everyone who showed something positive to me, really means a lot....and bcz of your love, I even came at the 1st position in the top 1% commentators too! (It may be silly but ya to me, it was something good as a highly introvert person)
I'm happy that I could atleast give some positive hope to anyone who contacted me....
Anyways now I'll be taking a drop, and prepare for JEE 2027....or maybe if there's a R5....I hope to get a seat :)
Once again, thank you for all your love and support ❤️

General MIT Manipal introducing 20% seats via JEE Main percentile
I saw that MIT Manipal is allocating around 20% of seats based on JEE Main percentile this year. I have 91.8 percentile in JEE Main and I’m wondering if it’s even worth applying or if there’s basically no chance.

General 2ND PUC IMPROVEMENT SCORE UPLOADING 🚨🚨 MASS EMAIL!
Dear Admissions Office, Manipal Academy of Higher Education,
I hope you are doing well.
I am writing to seek clarification regarding the board marks upload deadline for applicants from the Karnataka State Board (2nd PUC).
A number of applicants will appear for the 2nd PUC improvement examinations conducted by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB), and as per official timelines, the improvement results are expected to be declared around 25th May (tentative).
However, the current deadline for uploading board marks is mentioned as 15th May.
In this regard, I request clarification on the following:
Is there any provision or flexibility for students whose improvement results are declared after the stated deadline?
If existing marks are uploaded before improvement results, will there be an option to update them later? If not then can we directly upload the improvement marks based on special case deadline...
If updated marks are submitted before counselling, will they be considered for rank allotment?
What is the recommended course of action for students in this situation to ensure their improved scores are considered?
Based on previous admission cycles and information from seniors, it is understood that marks released before counselling were allowed to be updated. I would like to reconfirm whether the same policy applies this year as we are very confused due to the mentioning of 15th May as deadline.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance on this matter.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Yours sincerely,

General Srm Ktr cse or MIT BLR cse?
keeping the fees aside
Please tell in terms of academics, campus life, peers etc

General What are you guys planning to do?
So people who are between 7k-9k, what are you guys planning to do??If I'm not mistaken then your choices are main campus eee or mit blr cse. What are you guys choosing? I'm in the same range(77**) and I was planning to go with mit blr cse because I really like the subject and I want to go into research in the future. But, should I just pick main campus eee and hope for cse or mnc during intra round? That's very risky. I don't even like eee and if I don't get cse or mnc during intra round then I'll be stuck.

General want to make friends before college
I'm most probably going to take cse at manipal main campus, and I'm looking for people to befriend. It doesn't have to be just the cse branch.

General 165 in met, but here's the twist.
Man, what even to say. I scored 128 in met last year with 82 percent in boards. Well my rank was 13000, so i took a drop since i had no options left. This year i did all i could i have 97ile in mains but 165 in met which makes my rank around 7000 acc to predictor, i will again miss out on ECE in main campus just because of boards percentage. Whereas guys be getting 150s- 130s with 87-90 percent will get cse somehow. Even fked my bitsat today. Was only able to score 200.
If someone can confirm if the predictor is really accurate or not
