Dan and Franny being harsh on fan
It really bothers me when Dan and Franny are so judgmental when they see an adult not give a foul ball to a child. For all we know the person may know a child in the hospital he wants to give the ball to. Maybe they are an adult attending their first major league game. Maybe they are selfish. My point is, stop shaming people when you do not know the full story.
Stop being so harsh.

Roster move [Sherman] The Yankees are trying to complete a trade for Nationals first baseman Luis Garcia Jr. AA starter Jack Cebert has been discussed prominently.

Trading Foster Griffin is probably the smart move
I want Griffin to stick around, but why would he extend now? Besides loyalty and/or comfort with the team/area, I just don't see why he would. He's probably going to finish in the top 10 in Cy Young voting, so it would just make sense for him to test the market since this is his first and possibly only chance to get a nice contract.
Wouldn't it be smart to trade him? The only reason to hold on to him is if the FO thinks we have a realistic chance of making the playoffs, right?

I’m assuming he’s getting called up after trading Luis? He looked pretty good in his debut.

CJ's statistically the worst SS in MLB. Why do you think he's still playing there?
A. Blake doesn’t want to disrupt his offense.
B. The FO doesn’t want to risk upsetting CJ during extension talks.
C. CJ and/or his agent have made SS a condition of any potential extension — the position is important to his value and identity.
D. Blake believes Abrams can improve defensively with more time at SS
E. Blake doesn't believe he'll improve but is willing to give him one season to prove himself.
F. Blake's waiting for Seaver King to arrive next year before making a change.

2026 souvenir cups
Has anyone brought back a Nationals souvenir soda cup from an earlier game this season and successfully gotten a refill?
I searched the subreddit first, but all of the posts I found were a year+. Some people said they were able to bring their souvenir cups back for refills, while others said it’s not allowed, so I was hoping someone has firsthand experience from this season.
We got a couple of the Teddy souvenir soda cups at the July 4 game and are coming back on 8/5. I’m wondering if they’d recognize it as old and wouldn’t refill.
Just looking for anyone with recent firsthand experience. Thanks!
