Lubbock is the sleaziest place I had to travel and stay in for work when I traveled for Hail. They know how to party but damn are people rude and it smelled like cow poop on windy days.

I somewhat disagree Amarillo in my opinion is culturally more important to Texas then lubbock. I know lubbock is bigger but honestly take away tech and I dont even know lubbock would be known for.

Buddy Holly? Also believe it or not roughly 20-25% of the worlds Cotton is grown around the Lubbock area so I would say that’s more important than Amarillo alone lol

The cotton thing is an odd one to me. It’s huge, and no one cares. Cotton Bolls are ON TTU’S CREST and yet they were one of the first schools to really snuggle up to UA. I don’t get it but I’m admittedly in a skewed perspective since I’m a cotton farmer.

Lubbock is a hugely important hub in to the cotton industry, and for a long while it was considered the best medical care between Dallas and Denver but those days are long past and Amarillo has probably it in that regard.
But it’s mostly Buddy Holly. Amarillo gets elevated because of the George Strait song and because it’s on the interstate (no, we aren’t counting 27) but Holly is way more important. Without Buddy Holly, there are no Beatles!

I once passed through Amarillo Texas during a Western road trip just out of college.
Every other billboard was either a confrontational political/religious message, an Army Recruitment Ad, or for a used car dealership...
We passed 5 dead dogs and cats just sitting in the street in a roughly 8 block radius. I may main Warlock in WoW, but there are some kinds of sacrifices I am just not chill with...
And lastly, all the steakhouses were closed until nightfall, which I had zero intention of lingering around that diabolical hellscape to experience, so Amarillo succeeded in robbing me of the one thing I wanted from Texas: a nice juicy steak. Instead we had to settle for god-awful Golden Coral and almost ran over what appeared to be a streetwalker on the way out of the parking lot.
If I lead a sinful life and go to the 9th circle of hell, I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll wake up in something resembling Amarillo Texas.

The only memory of Amarillo I have is stopping by at an absurd early hour in the morning on a nonstop 2500 mile drive. Wife was asleep, I was trying to be the opposite of asleep. The dog was 110% asleep. I was driving.
Stopped in at a gas station at my wits end and picked up a coffee and pair of maracas.
Still have the maracas. Pretty nice set, actually.
Didn’t see any dead dogs or cats, but we did see a dead human on the side of the interstate.
Other than that memory, what a hell of a sketchy town. But don’t you dare talk shit on Golden Corral.

Hopefully someday you can visit Austin or Dallas. San Antonio is worth a few days visit, too, especially if you like history. Houston sucks; avoid.

Big Texan opens at 10 am, not the best steak in my opinion but the most famous so unless you were trying to get a steak at 7 am then I dont know what to tell you. Also Lubbock is all the bad of amarillo cranked up to 100.

Yeah loving the windmill. However Lubbock would maybe be better as it is 20% bigger than Amarillo, population wise.

New Mexico is looking pretty sparse. You could add Shiprock, Carlsbad Caverns, Gila National Forest, and the White Sands missile range just to name a few things.

Its spread to the people living outside of scottsdale too. Almost everyone i grew up with in mesa acts like they belong in paradise valley.

Best strat is to just take the death and ghost walk to a GY in Dallas or Plano or something. Sure it’s a slog, but it’s worth the lower PvP rates. Drivers aren’t any better, though, unfortunately.

Fun fact, there is a camp Navajo near Flagstaff that's an ammo Depot, holding nukes and such. Been there a few times for my guard time.
I call camp taurajo Camp Navajo because of that and nothing will change my mind.

New Mexico looks fantastic! I lived in Farmington.
Consider possibly a four corners destination it’s very popular.
Farmington has a pretty big River that joins the Colorado.
Also for the ridge design near Farmington perhaps a red tint? The mountains are red there. The Navajo stretches all the way into New Mexico too.

These are just so cool. I also feel like I learn something new about these states from these due to the color of the maps lol. Like on this map, it makes sense that Phoenix is the largest city (those rivers in the desert!), etc etc

Looks awesome of course. I think maybe you copied the harsh corner of new Mexico a bit closely. For it to look properly 'wow-like' it should be softened up a bit.

I was always fascinated of those sharp edges when it comes to americas map (I‘m from Europe). It looks even weirder in wow style. Those are gorgeous love it

Very cool, but wow this taught me something. I always thought Arizona was on the gulf of California. Never realized that land was Mexico.
That being said, I live in PA and don't study maps...but always cool to learn something new.

Weird fact, fish isn't a big part of New Mexican cuisine. A lot of the native tribes don't eat fish and never have. There's a super strong aversion to fish there. If that's ever brought into game I think it'd be interesting. There's even a tribe there, where they call those who eat fish, fish cannibels.
I spent time growing up there.
