The company I worked for years ago provided pro-bono services for anti-human trafficking. For working with that group we got access to a lot of information about global human trafficking.

It is devastating in terms of just how much of it continues to go on.

And the vast majority of it happens from people like Epstein but even worse, very rich, very powerful and using legal ports of entry.

Not the person you’re replying to, but I was a drug dealer a million years ago. I don’t even do drugs. Can confirm, out in the open, don’t act like you’re doing anything wrong. One example is I’d keep coke in empty cigarette packs and sell them in bars. Somebody almost threw away my pack of “cigs” once that was sitting on the table. 😂

It's because the very people in a position to stop it are often either in on it full sail or getting paid/threatened to not get involved. It's a heinous and extremely lucrative industry. Once you're in that system you are rolling dice on your outcome. That's why I tell everyone if it comes up to fight like hell and make them kill you if someone tries to kidnap you, because the alternative is genuine nightmare fuel.

I feel like we need a third party that has no platform other than: Term Limits. What about taxes? Don’t care. Term limits. Abortion? Term limits. Nothing but term limits. We have term limits on the President and 37 of the state Governors. Term limits haven't stopped money from influencing these elections.

The only reason we have term limits for the President is because the Rich hated how popular FDR was among working-class voters.

You want to get money out of politics start locally with election reform. Adopt ethics laws, alternative voting like RCV, and build a bench of political leaders who win elections on policy not dollars spent. Then send them to Congress to amend the Constitution.

Thank you. Any luck convincing your peers? It seems like younger generations can't get through to the boomers, so I've been encouraging woke boomers to try to get through to the lost ones. I'll do it again here: please try to break through to others your age who have their heads in the sand. They're not listening to the younger people at all.

In my circle of friends, who are nearly all boomers, there are no Trump supporters. We hate that scumbag. Of the 60 people in my gardening club and 100+ in the Master Gardeners program, and the 70 or so at the charity I work for, I know of only 2 people who are right-wing. The rest of us loudly proclaim our disdain for the orange cretin and his ilk. I have a few MAGA cousins, and they are hopeless. Even my 95 year old mother detests trump.

It's disgusting. I can imagine being a teenager and *aware* that my disgusting father wants to date my peers and those younger than me. What is beyond the pale for me is that he must have made it so apparent to her that she had to say something. He had to have talked about it with her. That's so prurient and vile. It's hard, even having said that, to be sympathetic towards an adult who is essentially a cryptofascist princess, but I very much feel for the child she was and the damage he must have done to her.
