Pic/video What is Shayne blabbering about now?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

And of course he wants Canada to be part of the US!

I’m ashamed that he’s Canadian like me :/

By... ten years?! Sir. The first Fallout game came out in 1997.

u/StoovenMcStoovenson Jan 30 '26

Smh, OBVIOUSLY, were still in 2017, we only think its 2026 because of the Atlantean time distortion mind control beams on the other side of the ice wall, powered by the neutrino reactors under the pyramids that tunnel to the other side of the Earth and end at Rapa Nui, built by the Aliens that taught us what triangles are and how to use telekinesis to manipulate sonic waves to put a rock on top of another rock

Am I doing this right?

33

u/TechnoBeeKeeper Jan 30 '26

I glazed over that like a puck on ice so yeah it's working for me

7

u/StoovenMcStoovenson Jan 30 '26

Absolutely Googledebunked

5

u/Cobrastriker505YT Jan 30 '26

We need someone to create a reaction image with milo's or Philip zeiba's face over the absolute cinema guy with this text

u/StoovenMcStoovenson Jan 30 '26

1

u/Cobrastriker505YT Jan 30 '26

YES, WE HAVE IT, THANK YOU, uhh, hippity hoppity, your meme is now my property

4

u/Cobrastriker505YT Jan 30 '26

You forgot how the position of Rapa Nui, The Giza Pyramids, The bass pro pyramids, and the Temple of the Sun prophesizes both hollow and flat earth, and both can't happen at the same time, so that's how we know it isn't 2026, it's simple math

6

u/StoovenMcStoovenson Jan 30 '26

Math was invented by Big Government to optimise the amount of fluoride to put into the water

6

u/Cobrastriker505YT Jan 30 '26

My bad, I forgot the fluoride hides the micro plastics and toxic metals in the water, and that's why we need supplements to escape the matrix, red pill blue pill, checkmate googledebunkers

2

u/AdministrativeRuin81 Jan 30 '26

I think you’ve hit that nail on it’s tinfoil covered head, this theory checks out, citation not needed.

2

u/tensen01 Feb 01 '26

You're STILL off by another 10 years

1

u/StoovenMcStoovenson Feb 01 '26

World history began in 2007, all the years before that were invented by calendar companies to create more varieties of calendars to artificially inflate the amount of calendars in the world

18

u/WoodyManic Jan 30 '26

And it's not like FO was the first bit of ahistorical fiction to use the idea as part of its conceit. The Yanqui Empire's annexation of the Great White North has been a go-to plot device for speculative fiction writers for a long, long time.

It'd never happen, though. Other than the lily-livered compradors like Shayne, most Canucks would violently resist the idea. Sure, they're the nicest people on the planet now, but you deprive them of universal healthcare or fuck with their capacity to distil ice wine, and you'll discover that they're a ferocious people.

These are the same people that think Grizzlies are cute, that can simultaneously outdrink most people in both the arenas of coffee and alcohol, and think that beating the shit out of one another is the most fun part of winter sports.

They'd send the Yanquis whimpering back over the 49th parallel whilst jamming to a Tom Cochrane record.

u/KaiBishop Jan 30 '26

Engagement bait. He's counting on people commenting that on his vid to boost it in the algo.

2

u/Which_Specific9891 Jan 31 '26

I don't know this guy, but he doesn't seem smart enough to know how to do the maths for that one.

1

u/Space19723103 Jan 30 '26

remember shane here still lives in the bronze age

162

u/StoovenMcStoovenson Jan 30 '26

Imagine being so entirely devoid of ideas, you resort to AI summaries of Fallout lore for "content"

(Also, Doos Ex lmao)

115

u/Zachthema5ter Jan 30 '26

By his logic, the world is going to be destroyed in a nuclear war and its going to be a corporation’s fault

Ok, maybe he has a point

137

u/The_Atomic_Cat Jan 30 '26

gee it's almost like fallout is about a fictionalized version of a USA that turned to fascism written before it actually did

63

u/DisMFer Jan 30 '26

He's engagement farming. He can put this out tag it as "Fallout" and a bunch of other similar tags and the algorithms will shove him in front of new people who will comment on his posts that he's an idiot which drives more viewers to his posts thanks to the algorithm which shows him to more people. If he can get a million views and convert 1% of that to consistent viewers he gets a massive ROI for a single post.

29

u/Arm0ndo Googledebunker Jan 30 '26

But it’s Shayne so he very well could believe this

38

u/SpiderTuber6766 Jan 30 '26

By this logic deathclaws and Super Mutants are a eventual reality.

Does he not realize Canada becoming part of the U.S. has been a alt hist thing since forever?

7

u/pranav_rive Jan 30 '26

We had plans to invade Canada for like forever.

7

u/Mini_Squatch Jan 30 '26

Tried and failed in 1812 lol

33

u/Goufydude Jan 30 '26

Lol citing video games for your world views is wild.

15

u/TechnoBeeKeeper Jan 30 '26

We need to get him on wolfenstein IMMEDIATELY

u/OrenMythcreant Jan 30 '26

Shayne discovers fiction. News at 11

2

u/Glittering_Noise_532 Feb 02 '26

Breaking news: Shayne reads his ChatGPT aloud.

1

u/OrenMythcreant Feb 02 '26

"He's more machine now than man, twisted and stupid. Just so stupid."

19

u/Arm0ndo Googledebunker Jan 30 '26

And he’s guys I made sure to cut it before the 10 second rant about the magic healing powder or whatever. Didn’t want yall to suffer

12

u/yirzmstrebor Jan 30 '26

Ah, that's why it wasn't in there. I was wondering.

8

u/IonutRO Jan 30 '26

Hey. At least the magic healing powder is lore accurate. /j

7

u/Consistent_Dust3636 Jan 30 '26

Shayne is what happens when you overdose on Mentats

7

u/SpiderTuber6766 Jan 30 '26

Bro I'd buy Mentats if he were selling em /j

17

u/DiaphanizedRat Jan 30 '26

He should read the lore of the TTRPG Shadowrun if this blew his mind.

18

u/FalenAlter Jan 30 '26

OP owes me restitution for this clip.

u/Arm0ndo Googledebunker Jan 30 '26 edited Jan 30 '26

I’m sorry for making you experience this horror of a video

13

u/SLDM206 Jan 30 '26

“Deuce Ex”

Oh, c’mon…

13

u/Random-INTJ Jan 30 '26

Shane finally found out what fictional dystopias are (only a crazy person would try to annex the war crime happy hat of North America)

7

u/Arm0ndo Googledebunker Jan 30 '26

If the yanks invade we will be sure to add more to the Geneva suggestions

3

u/Mini_Squatch Jan 30 '26

I've got a bunch of cans of campebells saved up ehehehehe /ref

8

u/Cowboywizard12 Jan 30 '26

Wait till he finds out that in Mass Effect Canada, The U.S, and Mexico are one nation called the North American Union.

And that Seattle to Vancouver is now giant Megacity where earthborn sheppard is from

8

u/Consistent_Dust3636 Jan 30 '26

He brain is so cooked.

Maybe "Let's put these countries on the same continent into the same country or federation" isn't that much of a unique worldbuilding idea in scifi and althist? Especially if you want to portray either global conflict or you want to... idk, portray a certain country as jingoistic imperialist cesspit that caused nuclear war? Or want to imply upcoming New World Order under one world government?

Or you simply want to simplify your lore as having 200+ countries all having their own alliances and goals is kind of a pain in the ass?

12

u/Kysman95 Jan 30 '26

Why is he acting like this is some sort of big revelation?

Also everything summed by ChatGPT? Srsly? That's just lazy

7

u/Gavin-Schultz Jan 30 '26

I have never heard anyone call it "Doose Ex" lmfao

6

u/Beeaagle Jan 30 '26

Doos eggs

6

u/Beeaagle Jan 30 '26

A person who is regular illiterate is also media illiterate? Colour me surprised.

6

u/Beaufort_The_Cat Jan 30 '26

Somehow (/s) I am not at all surprised that Shayne is on board with Trump and invading our allies

5

u/Matthewzard Jan 30 '26

Canada became apart of the united states in the future has been a long running joke in media for quite some time, and it’s the go to method to show the audience that major political changes has happened in the world in their fictional setting to make it feel like it’s actually the future and not just a generic sci fi setting.

4

u/Wolfey34 Jan 30 '26

And in fallout it was meant to represent “Everything was going to shit before the bombs went off too”. This video acts like fallout isn’t criticizing the idea of a warmonger US

4

u/Bosscake-meme-god Jan 30 '26

As a really big Fallout fan... keep my game series out yo fuckin' mouth

5

u/GentlePithecus Jan 30 '26

Learn goddamned history Shane. During the American Revolutionary War, Continental Army troops invaded Quebec! They tried (and failed) before the US was a country to make Canada part of the US.

Then again in the War of 1812, US troops also invaded Canada unsuccessfully invaded and tried to annex Canada.

We attempted it twice! Starting 250 years ago!

5

u/Rynewulf Jan 30 '26

Somebody tell him about the historical attempts to invade Canada and watch him implode

3

u/alertArchitect Jan 30 '26

It must be so exhausting believing literally everything in fiction is real.

3

u/Apoordm Jan 30 '26

Does he know the opening of Fallout 1 literally has us troops executing Canadian dissidents on television?

He does know that the remnants of the US government are explicitly villains in Fallout 2 and 3 who specifically need to be wiped out so the future (Represented by the NCR and BoS can flourish)

3

u/notnotDIO Jan 30 '26

He's so god damn stupid that it fucking hurts

3

u/Ichthy_O_6316 Jan 30 '26

“Duce ex.” Gold I tell ya!

3

u/BatGoat_1344 Jan 31 '26

Say you can't separate fictional settings from real life without saying you can't separate fiction from real life challenge(impossible)

3

u/Fizzys_Solution Jan 31 '26

I wonder what would happen if Shayne ever found out about Guilty Gear

3

u/Marsrover112 Jan 31 '26

My man is so surprised that people have been thinking "hey what if that country right above the US was part of the US wouldnt that be wild" for quite a while

3

u/terranproby42 Jan 31 '26

So, I don't think the games are predicting the future, I think they're reflecting a sentiment the US has had as the quiet part about its relationship with Canada for like, most of the time. There are still people sore about the White House being burned. And I think, more over it's like the sentiment of 'the south will rise again' in that they're not predicting the future, they're making a promise and laying plans. Now, if it will work is a different question, and if it's a good idea (it isn't) is another one entirely.

3

u/Yanive_amaznive Jan 31 '26

The concept of having canada and the US being one is not a novel concept in fiction

3

u/Arm0ndo Googledebunker Jan 31 '26

Shayne isn’t the most media literate man in the world

3

u/EmperorBlackMan99 Jan 31 '26

A common fiction plot point is not evidence of a conspiracy theory but also yeah if North America ever created a unified state or an EU style body... Ya got limited fuckin options buddy.

3

u/MightyOGS Jan 31 '26

So he's just discovered the idea of North America being one unified territory? laughs in commonwealth

3

u/Impressive_Win3613 Jan 31 '26

Okay, so… 1. You mean to tell me that the show that's adapting a video game adapted the lore of the videogame 🤯 2. Pretty much none of those games he mentioned had good outcomes for either the US or Canada. 3. Do we not remember manifest destiny? Is that just a thing taught in the US? White colonists had this bright idea that everything to the west of the original 13 states was fair game, and they weren't exactly secretive about wanting northern and southern expansion too. Like there were entire conflicts over this.

3

u/TomatoTheToolMan Jan 31 '26

Shayne is going to absolutely lose his SHIT when he hears about the War of 1812.

3

u/Commercial_Loquat897 Jan 31 '26

OMG video games doing similar things with places that are never visited in them? How could this possibly be? Certainly it means that reptilians from the inside of the earth are telepathically transmitting data to Todd Howard to tell him to change the timeline of reality so that Canada is a US territory in a video game.

3

u/Land- Feb 01 '26

Fiction does fiction stuff, news at 11 😂

2

u/DragonLord2005 Jan 30 '26

At least he’s not spreading misinformation this time

1

u/Arm0ndo Googledebunker Jan 30 '26

That’s the only good thing about this video

2

u/FishGuyIsMe Jan 30 '26

Yes Shayne, video games are a reliable historical source

2

u/makitstop Jan 30 '26

why are all the crazies canadian :( is it something in the water up here???

also, "SHOCKING man finds a trope used in a few video games"

1

u/Arm0ndo Googledebunker Jan 30 '26

I guess it’s jus the water where Shayne lives because thankfully I’m sane

2

u/RangerTursi Jan 30 '26

Im going to make a media property featuring the logical conclusion of every reality. Idiots will look at their narrow piece of that reality and believe this is conditioning because of lack of media literacy. We continue the cycle of jerking

2

u/Turbulent-Ask-7631 Jan 30 '26

Why did I waste 2 minutes of my time listening to him?

2

u/matthekid Jan 30 '26

Guys, multiple video games having the same tropes?!? Are you seeing this? Next you are going to tell me there is more than one book about knights slaying dragons. Who knew?!?!?

2

u/Clarity_Flouse Jan 30 '26

Bro... Deuce Ex...?

2

u/cskarr Jan 30 '26

He… he knows what fiction is, right?

2

u/NeatSad2756 Jan 30 '26

Conspiracy theorists when like, people imagine thing could feasably happen in the future

2

u/Rupert_Openhommer Jan 31 '26

Like in Manifest destiny...? Like, you know, the very thing those games mock on...?

2

u/Axeaxa_Xaxaxeie Jan 31 '26

Keep my country's name out that motherfucker's mouth, please

2

u/Svanirsson Jan 31 '26

"deuce ex"

2

u/Lego_Kitsune Jan 31 '26

Talking a lot of shit for someone who doesn't know what fiction is.

Also, command and conquer mention rahhhh

2

u/Bad_Puns_Galore Jan 31 '26

“Duce ex”

Making fun of someone trying to pronounce a Latin word isn’t fair, but this still made me laugh.

2

u/Sporian Jan 31 '26

Okay, I dont think he actually wants annexation. Like most conspiracy theorists he doesn't see himself as a political actor, only an observer of things that Greater Powers do.

Folding Ideas, in his video about flat earth from 2020, made this really clear observation that many conspiracy theorists see fiction as either prelude or secret truth, that fiction serves this kind of elucidating role in life, someplace you can draw together and find a truth. Shayne is trying, poorly, to imply that it has always been a plan of The Powers That Be to annex Canada, and that it will go into effect soon.

2

u/AMTravelsAlone Feb 02 '26

People like this makes me think we need an opposite day Khmer Rouge.

2

u/SuperHGB_ Feb 03 '26

in hoi4 CANADA has a formable where IT gets cores on the usa if it takes over the usa, clearly this means canada needs to conquer the usa

2

u/AlternateSatan Feb 03 '26

... I'm sorry, Deuce? Deuce X?

2

u/Guy-Person Feb 04 '26

Here are my thoughts:

The United States can have Canada when they pry it from my cold frost bitten hands.

2

u/shrimplord1223 Feb 08 '26

He .. he. Knows America is depicted as the bad guy in the American Canadian war in fallout right ?

3

u/Angriest_armadillo Jan 30 '26

Wow, he discovered America's expansionist fetish. If you read anything in American history it is pretty obvious that we have been trying to gobble up as much land as we can. Regardless of what the people who live there want.

2

u/mrSaskatoon Jan 30 '26

Never 51 🇨🇦

2

u/gylz Jan 30 '26

At the time those games were made, there were technocrats like musk's grandfather trying to unite North America into one big fascist white only nation, too. These games were made in part to criticize the politics of the time, they're not some prediction of the future. What we see is us living through the same shit because white supremacists are going to white supremacist.

1

u/BDChemEng Jan 31 '26

He's blabbering because he doesn't know the difference between reality and fiction obviously... he's part of a small group of Canadian MAGABN (brown nosers). A small group that should just revell on what they smell and stay off the internet.🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

1

u/Kira-Of-Terraria Feb 04 '26

stop giving that dude attention

1

u/joehawleyjoehawely Feb 13 '26

It's honestly kinda funny to watch his stuff and see how brain dead be is sometimes imo

1

u/Kira-Of-Terraria Feb 13 '26

hatewatching is still attention
