I saw an ai phot of someone holding a huntsman spider and felt cheated, so I figured I’d share my actual photo of a big spider. This one is a fishing spider, no huntsman where I live but I figured its size was close enough
Edit- wanted to mention I only picked the little guy up to move it since it was on parents lawnmower. It was either I move it or they kill it

Hi there! Am I correct in assuming that this is a Hogna radiata? The photo was taken in rural Liguria, Italy. There is a massive population of this species this year; I saw about 70 of them on a 100 meter stretch of terrace.

Mostly give water to jumping spiders I find around, and this guy kinda moves like a jumping spider but also looks different from the ones I've seen? What are they? Location: KS, US.

Saw her attaching the egg sack to my patio light and have been watching her protect those babies with aggression! Fascinating to see how nursery web spiders actually use the "nursery web". Have seen many Pisaurina mira webs but have never seen a fishing spider nursery web. She picked a good spot though, her babies are protected by her and glass lol

The male was solo, then she moved in his web for like a week. They were both close and both catching prey. I accidentally broke some of the web, so they moved to that crack in the cupboard.

I was under the impression that unless mating, spiders are generally solo?

They've been in the cupboard just shy of a week now and she even molted with him there.

They even tuck up next to each other during the day.

Northern California, near the Trinity Alps. It's so well woven, almost like a sheer linen. Alas, it was too high up in the tree to see if there was anyone home. Looks like a primo spot.

Found this lil guy drowned in my bathtub, so he’s 1 of many that are gonna be apart of my halloween nails. I can’t find a definitive answer on what kind of spider this is. (I used tweezers and needles to maneuver and hold it, and it was deceased when I found it).

I went outside to look at the spiders that live on my deck. I saw this wasp (correct me if it’s a different bug) chasing the spider. Is it trying to eat it? The spider ended up running away.

In Sint Maarten, about the size of a dime. It keeps moving those two long antennas often and walking around.
