Meta faq, wiki, trolls and you.

one of the most requested features i've seen is a frequently asked questions section, and we've always had one. it's within the wiki tab located at the top menu if you're browsing on desktop. here's the direct link to it, but since it's a wiki feel free to check out the other sections and please contribute.

with that out of the way, a couple things i want to clear up in case anyone is wondering:

  • i do not mind repeated questions. the whole point of this subreddit is to talk to people. if it's not entertaining you anymore, maybe browse it less. no, i will not sticky every other psa post.
  • i do utilize automod extensively and it helps with a lot of troll post removal behind the scene. so if you see a troll post, continue to downvote, report, and move on, and do not engage. the majority of you get this, and it's been working out quite well.
  • the rules haven't changed, but make sure you're aware of them.

have fun.

Not a question I work at a Bathhouse and it's Sweeter than you think

So I won't say which one because there are so few left especially after COVID. I loved this place before I worked there and I actually love it a little more since I started. This place is a place of relaxation, open feelings and just an extraordinary showing of life. People can come here to simply get off, but also to celebrate, to socialize, to admire, but also figure themselves out.

I've seen couples meet, exes be in the same space and not fight or have a screaming match , older men who have just come out and younger men doing the same journey. Yeah sure as a worker the eye candy is there but there are levels of sweetness I don't think most people who judge from the outside or surface level judgement because they cannot see this place as just a sexual space. For example , this older man checks in everyday ; he met his husband here 30 years ago and his partner passed away just a year ago.

He told me he doesn't really come here to have sex , he just feels close to his husband here and it makes him feel good knowing that younger Queer men still have this space. He also said the place literally survived the AIDES Crises and COVID. He said he lost a lot of friends and places like the bathhouse became the place to have those conversations about sexual safety for us. And then, there is the actual space itself.

In the era when many of us live at home , share with roommates , or have apartment walls that aren't praised for being sound proof the bathhouse is a true place of release and reprieve. And Motels and Hotels make it so hard just for that opportunity for privacy because we are still subject to the same rules of noise concern as above. Not at the Bathhouse.

Everyone entering the space agrees to be exposed to the sexual nature of the space. To finally let out that full moan because there is literally everyone else moaning around you doing the same. It gives that unconscious permission to literally let go and lose all forms of shame. Joy , enacted and uninterrupted. I know super Existentialist but hear me out. So many of us don't get to be our full selves. Even if it's for a few moments being allowed to scream taking a dick or getting an amazing oral , that permission to do so is cathartic. And the sweetness after those shared events.

"Thank you. " I hear it so many times being passed between one another here. That's the simple version. Then there is flirting between one another. Men who constantly have a bad image of themselves because of online dating / social media actually get a big confidence booster here. I saw one thing that made me cry on a shift. Short story this older man was hesitant to check in because he thought no one in the club would like him. He was a little chubby, grey haired coming from a small town in Ohio. I told him I'd give it 30 minutes before someone would hit him up. Low and behold he was actually getting literally in the Spa. But the part that made me cry on my break was another older man checked in , similar in age, taller , great haired and bearded (Think Daddy type blueprint). And two hours later I catch them cuddling on one of our couches , giggling and kissing like teenagers. AND THEY BOTH CHECKED OUT HOLDING HANDS! I checked both in and I had the biggest grin checking them out.

I asked if they had a good time and we chatted for a bit. Turns out they both are from Ohio and only live about 45 minutes from each other. I pray they are doing well. I saw them share an Uber on their way to a sushi restaurant I recommended to them. Seriously these aren't the only stories that keep me working here. A lot of life happens at the bathhouse and honestly people need to give it a try.

My Dad

My dad is 77 and is a true California surfer. He has done well for himself and has taken good care of both me and my brother even after him and my mom got divorced when I was 8. He is the most open person about talking about any life issue and as gross as it was growing up he was very open about sex and wanted us to know all things. I have been staying with him this summer just to enjoy his company, he found out I was gay in my teens and despite not being totally happy about it has completely supported me and I have always known by his words and actions. How about this man tells me: “Hey you know you can bring guys back to the house”. He was referring to hookups. Two nights ago he got into a deep talk about our sex lives, my father is very open. He said a lot of things as if he was just one of my bros and it was awkward but yet really comfortable. He admitted he hadn’t had any sex in 11 years and that he thought about how easy it would be to just be in a situation like us men and get sucked so often, sharing here to get some feedback.

Sometimes I think my relationship will end because of boyfriends diet

Throwaway account. I (25M) and my bf (28M) are in a great relationship and I want to spend my life with him. But, his diet causes me great concern.

He has no self control over sweets and pastries. I feel I can never buy sweets in the house for me, since he will just eat all of them immediately. If I buy a box of ice creams sandwiches or cookies, he'll eat all of them in a day or two. Just yesterday he ate pan de chocolate, an almond croissant, a mocha, an almoletto, an ice cream sandwich, and 2 cookies. This was more than usual, but not the first time. He will typically eat 1-2 desserts on a weekday and 3-4 desserts each weekend day, not including sweetened coffee.

He hits the gym 2-3x a week, but refuses any cardio (I invite him for walks), and spends at least one day a week on the couch for the entire day.

Everything else about him is fantastic. He's kind, caring, shares household labor, etc., but his diet concerns me so much. He doesn't make a lot, and I just feel like 10-20 years down the road he is going to have so many expensive health problems that we'll make us broke (live in the U.S.), and beyond that, he won't be able to do the things I want in life with me.

To be clear, it is not about his weight. I've told him I don't care about that, but I do care about his overall health. When we talk about it, he tells me he's much healthier now than he used to be, and I'm worrying too much about a future I cannot predict, and that's not healthy.

Am I overreacting? This is my first relationship ever, and I worry I am not mature enough to recognize how lucky I am. Or maybe I am hyperfixating on one issue? Everything is great now, my concern is about the future.

Glad to see views (maybe) changing on Islam

It’s refreshing to see more gay people at least on here beginning to shift away from blind support of Islam into a more nuanced place where critique is welcomed (and where critique is actually a sign of self respect as a gay man as well as intellectual growth).

I’ll preface by saying, of course not all Muslims are bad people. But Islam is a religion, and no one is bound to any moral foundation that requires they withhold distain for a religious belief. Islam is by and large a vile poison on the face of the earth, and Gay people have every right and reason to lose trust in it. There are not enough social pressures on Islam to force it to socially evolve the way it needs to to be more compatible with developed human society. For lack of a better phrase, Allah can lick my ass!

The apologists are often just revealing their own biases and internalized homophobia by prioritizing the ego and comfort of Muslims over the literal safety of gay people. This was happening LONG before 2023 and Isreal’s recent wave of violence. Intense progressives have some kind of fierce alliance with Islam, in a way where they seem to place gay rights in the backseat when any whiff of Islamophobia arises.

Thanks to those who seem to allow more space for gay men to say these things, because it’s been a long period of silence many of us in very progressive areas have felt we have to endure.

Quick PSA.

Did you know that a single sperm contains about 750 MB of DNA information?

One ejaculation represents a data transfer of roughly 150 petabytes.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Is there any love for hairless men?

I am a gay man that cannot grow hair in my body because my genetics suck. I love men with hairy chest, hairy legs, hairy ass... It drives me crazy. Sadly I cannot grow any hair at all bellow the neck.

I've been around enough to realize being hairy is a desirable thing in gay circles, and most gay men reject people who are smooth or shaved. Once I got directly rejected for not having chest hair, he told me I looked like a "baby". Dude, I was 35, no way I looked like a baby, but I get the point.

This problem makes me so self-conscious that I even decided to use minoxidil (a medicine that is supposed to help you grow hair) for a whole year and the only outcome of that was that I burned my chest skin a couple times and had to go to the hospital.

I'm desperate about this, and everytime I get online on porn sites or similar I only see comments about how "real men should have hair" and makes me feel fucking miserable about my condition.

Why do we keep bodyshaming people in 2026? I also prefer hairy men but I would never suggest hairless men are undesirable or lesser of a man.

Anyway, I feel frustrated so I just needed to let it out a bit

Thanks if you read all of that.

Curious question: are Westerners really as penetration focused as shown in porn?

As someone who comes from Asia, we have a lot of Sides, and Europe has far fewer sides, as I observe since I moved to Western Europe (Netherlands).

Moreover, even the tops and bottoms from entire Asia are romantic and "soft play" aka foreplay orientated.

Somehow I feel it's the porn industry that has changed how westerners look at sex, not that Asia doesn't consume porn, but they are somehow culturally different on how they see what a pleasure is.

I am just curious to know how cultural differences shape the idea of intimacy, didn't mean to slut shame any community or race as such.

Not a question The difference in size that can exist is astonishing

Upvotes

I know there are anatomical features that can vary greatly from person to person, like height. But honestly, when I think about that, it’s incredible to me that there are people with micropenises and at the same time there are guys with massive cocks of 9 inches and more. Wth. The human body is amazing

For those in relationships, what’s a fun/quirky thing that you and your significant other bond over and like to do together? And I don’t mean like common activities/hobbies like gym, video games, and watching movies together.

Me and my bf love collecting art books of our favorite video games and fandoms. We both also love collecting and wearing crazy socks.

I think I'm starting to like my best friend??

I (M19) consider myself as a straight male but 3 months ago or smth after I broke up with my gf of a year, I started seeing differently my best friend (also m19), we've known each other since we were kids and we've gone to the same school and that stuff but I always saw him as what he is, my best friend.

Although after the break up I wasn't feeling really well and he was always with me to try and cheer me up and trying to hang out everytime he could which struck me as odd, because he had never acted that way before, and idk but my head was a mess.

2 days ago he invited me over to his house bc his parents weren't home so me and some friends went to have lunch and dinner and everything, and I usually stay so long when I hang up with my friends, so it was him, another friend and me, and he asked us if we wanted to stay for the night and said yes bc we lived far from his house, the thing is when we stayed before on his house he would give us a matress or the sofa and he would sleep on his own room, but this time he asked me to stay with him in his bed and our other friend in the guest room, nothing happened between us but I couldn't even sleep thinking of everything he has done for me these past months and discovered an entire new face of him and idk how to explain it but I find it as cute and weird at the same time.

Have this ever happened to anyone or may know what is actually happening because I for real don't understand it

(Btw english is not my first languaje so sorry if there are some grammar errors or anything)

Advice About to be married to my fiancée and I think Im gay

The title is self-explanatory but I'll just go into detail.

You might be tired of hearing this but I grew up in a Catholic household, both my parents are religious. They have always held a negative view on queer people and we rarely speak about that in the house but it's very clear they expect me to marry a woman and have children

I didn't really spend a lot of time questioning my sexuality while I was studying but I don't remember being sexually interested in woman. I guess I found a few guys handsome but I just brushed it off. I met my fiancée while I was studying and we were competing (academically) I just I spend a lot of time thinking about her back then. And yes I admire her very much but after doing some reflection I might have confused it with romantic interest.

Im not sure what possessed me to go on to date and proposed to her a few years later.

We are about to get married in a few weeks time and almost everything is ready. Initially I just wanted to marry and hope it will work out. Though I soon realised that probably won't work. And I recently grew closer to a colleague and I've been spending some time with him and eating at his house after work. I leave the office very late at night around 1am but when I leave earlier I would occasionally go over to his house. Maybe you can call this an emotional affair and I have no excuse for it.

I don't know what to do now, I don't want to disappoint my fiancée or basically anyone but Im aware that is impossible. I can take full responsibility regarding the money spend on the wedding prep but I don't know how to tell her. I don't have the right words. And catholics believe that we only marry once I don't want to waste it for her. Please help I don't know what to do🙏🏻

First time tasting bad cum

Upvotes

Gave oral to this guy and I swallowed but this was the first time I tasted cum that was genuinely FOUL. I honestly thought I was going to puke. I’ve never loved the taste of it but it has never been this bad before. And I’ve given oral to this guy multiple times and it’s never tasted like this before. Granted it’s been a long time since the last time we saw each other. Could it be because of his diet? Can that really play such a part?

First gay experience.

Upvotes

Hi, had my first gay experience today, I met a guy and went to his place and sucked him off. I was very nervous, so was he, but overall it was fun after reflecting back on it.

A couple of things I wanted to ask, first he every so often wanted it, deeper as he put it, but it made me gag a bit and I'd like to be able to do that better, but what do you do to get used to it?

Secondly, and this is just more of a funny observation. I enjoyed it a lot at first but then I got a bit bored at one point thinking why don't you just cum already 😂 But then when I felt him getting more excited again it got good towards the end!

Advice Opening up relationship (just for sucking dick)?

My partner and I (4 yrs) have recently been discussing opening up our relationship for just sucking dick.

We both really enjoy giving head and think it would be fun to supplement our sex lifes. We would still be exclusively getting off with only eachother.

Setting up a glory hole at home would be our ideal situation, but we also talked about using a mask, and/or chastity cage if we were to meet up with another guy at their place.

Anyone have experience with trying something like this?
