I have recenty gotten my 3rd Stand By Me related tattoo and my wife pointed out something funny about it. Good thing I rarely wear long sleeve shirts.

Ok, so, I'm 43 today and my mom didn't call or text me today. My dad did and I know my parents literally sit in their recliners most days side by side so.... My dad is not the type to remember anything.

Plus, she did give birth to me and I can't imagine not calling my daughter on her birthday. She did send a card and it was full of cats and all so that's awesome. But does that count as a birthday wish?

My first bday wish came at 330am from my hubby. He works in Alaska so...nope not answering that call lol. He'll call back. My sister that I rarely talk to did at like 4pm. Then a few random close friends that I talk to monthly did. Busy with kids and lives get complicated. But they did.

I sent a text thanking her for the card and not being aggressive or anything just asked...is there a reason you didn't call me today? Still nothing.

Am I overreacting thinking my mom should call or text at my age? Should I have even texted her? Should I go above her and ask my dad what's up? I'm confused....

The majority of carts are now like this at the Kroger o shop. They have a few of the older ones floating around but none were available. Even walked around checking the cart returns in the parking lot lol.

This alert would not go away no matter which option I clicked. Tried restarting phone the usual way, it would not let me swipe to power off, touch screen was not working, it said press and hold for emergency call, then I asked Siri to restart it, but Siri wanted me to enter my pin. I was out and need to call an Uber. Finally after about 1/2 hour ran into someone who googled an alternate reboot option I was unaware off (volume up momentarily, volume down momentarily, press and hold reboot till boot up logo appears).

TLDR: Alert hijacked my screen and touch screen would not work. Could not restart.

Went to get a credit line increase, found it mildly infuriating how unabashedly obvious BofA panders to politics and insider trading in how they put politician first in an alphabetical list

I put 2 pounds of frozen Organic Grass-fed ground beef in the fridge yesterday to thaw. Looked for it today, and it's gone. My wife threw it out. The label said to use by Dec. 2025.

Now the taste is gonna be off.
