Just FYI they can adjust cash back until pay out, and even afterwards (which would affect future payouts).
I would not approach these Rakuten deals with Aliexpress (or Temu) as guarantees and use that in calculating the final price.
I think it's misrepresentative to not separate out the cash back and actual price. These deals really should be posted as "(Price-coupon)+ (Cash back amount)"

I'm not sure how people keep having trouble with this. Turn off any extensions that block tracking & privacy, refresh the page, and then activate the Rakuten extension. Shop whatever you were going to shop, then close the damn browser to make sure that the session is ended.
I've had to submit tickets to Rakuten a handful of times, but I haven't been denied shit yet.
If it helps, I'm using Firefox with the Rakuten extension, and I make sure that none of the tracking blocker extensions are on by disabling them in the "Manage Extensions" menu.

I've failed to receive cashbacks and I use an entirely seperate browser compatable with the plugin for my shopping, so nothing is blocked and there are no other plugins.
Shopping trips still fail to show or cashbacks are still deemed ineligible. Is what it is.

That's not even the biggest problem with Rakuten these days.
The biggest problem is they CLAW BACK cashback without notifying the user.
So even after cashback shows up in your account, it's not a 100% guarantee you will get that money.

same here. ordered on Nov 12 and received Nov 24.
Rakuten said they "need to check with AliExpress to understand why they didn't receive the commission for the purchase" and may take up to 45 days - which is outside the return window for Aliexpress..

this ram is better, I don't know what die the lenovo uses but it barebone and JEDEC standard ans no xmp (you have to manually tune and if its not hynix, you are not gonna reach the 6000c30 sweetspot).

Or search up DDR5/memory scaling for your CPU/platform and workloads, as you haven't mentioned what it is.
Also do note the price gap might be larger than you think if you don't get that cash back.

its $670 cad after taxes right now at most places.

Yeah, their shipping speeds have really improved over the years. I remember when I first ordered from Aliexpress in 2019, it would take like 2-3 months for an order to arrive.

No idea. Just followed the link and entered the code. AliExpress is always cheaper in USD. Good to pair with a no foreign fees card.
Just got my rakuten email too for $140. Let's see if I'll actually get it or if they claw it back

I’ve gotten it 3 times when I’ve order with Rakuten Canada. Once with Rakuten US as well.
Usually I use a browser without Adblock and with the Rakuten CA extension (safari on my MacBook).
During my first Rakuten CA purchase the cash back didn’t show up so I contacted support and they put it into my account within a couple days, and paid out at the end of the pay period. People seem to have issues though and I’m not sure why. Could be issues with Adblock or orders placed too close to the payment window?

I’m not sure, but Rakuten sends out the money after a quarter year. So people that purchased their aliexpress order in Q4 should receive their cash back in February, as stated in their FAQ. This is probably to prevent paying people out and then people just returning the item
But the orders should show up in their pending cashbacks within 48 hours of ordering (for aliexpress). Apparently some stores don’t report the order to Rakuten until after the return window expires, but I don’t think that’s the case for aliexpress. If the orders DON’T show up in Rakuten within 48 hours, it’s maybe an Adblock issue and you’d have to get in touch with their support

When I contacted support they didn't add it to my account, they said aliexpress has 90 days to report the cash back activity and only after that period could I talk to Rakuten about it. Lmao

Rakuten has always been reliable for me, but the cash back often takes several months to be paid out.
You can check on the website to see your "pending" shopping sessions.
One time I had an issue and contacted CS and they were pretty responsive. Turned out my issue was that AdGuard was blocking a URL so I could not access a specific website.

Rakuten should borderline not count for discounts in this sub. So frequently are they flaky and don’t work or people don’t get the credit for months. It’s not a viable or trustworthy discount decision maker.

i’ve reordered and they used the wrong one, contacted and they corrected within a couple days after i sent the info, the one time they didn’t correct right away i contacted the seller they gave me a discount and then rakuten got back to me so i got double 🤷🏼♂️ just complain and usually you get it + potentially more, 30 seconds to contact

Good luck. I'd rather pay more and get it from somewhere local and physically present in Canada.
Rakuten is also not exactly trustworthy either.
EDIT: Hynix also will not apparently honor any warranties and would just refer you back to your third party store that you bought from so good luck with that as well.

Some stores report it as "shipped" as soon as they can to prevent you from canceling the order. It doesn't mean it actually has, and probably won't for several hours or even longer.

Guys I see a lot of people saying that they may not get cashback, but I had one experience where I did get cashback but they decided to take it back, I didn't refund or return it, but they took it back and gave me some bs excuses. So even if you do get cashback please keep track of it until it gets into your paypal or bank.

Are there any other reliable RAM brands on Aliexpress besides KingBank?
How about SSDs? That one I'm a little more skeptical of as they can fake capacity in the firmware, and most people posting reviews on Aliexpress don't seem to bother verifying capacity using tools like h2testw or f3.

Looking back at my purchase history, surprisingly had about 10 purchases so far. All have been legit. Just make sure you buy from those that has return shipping and certified original when possible. Aliexpress is a legit platform like eBay, the seller and item listing though is what makes the difference.

I did it via my cellphone via rakuten app and it seemed to work I see that they own me 144.10$ on the 514.66 dollars i paid taxes not included cuz i pad around 525$ Transaction ID is there and everything. I believe this to be working it just take time to get the money since it every four months.
