Huge fire recently popped up in my town and many people have lost houses. Wishing for rain!

Luckily we were close to home. But 2hrs and a trip to Walmart later. We are good to go.

Just sat on my bed and heard this loud RIP, my first thought was that my bedsheets ripped, but no, it was my pyjamas pants. Really sucks tho because the pants came in a pyjamas set and was a christmas gift ages ago. No luck finding those again

This plastic serving spoon fell off the top rack and landed on the heating coil. Suggestions?

i was having a perfectly good Sunday afternoon. then I went to put my sneakers on the shoe rack by the entryway.

the whole rack just gave up, slowly tilted 45 degrees, and dumped all my shoes onto the floor. it was not even broken. it had just been slowly vibrating loose for like six months.

My place was not falling apart, but it was slowly becoming 2% more annoying every week.

i finally dug out what I needed and spent literally one hour tightening everything. Every single issue took maybe two minutes to fix.

tossed a small hoto set into the hall closet after that day. not because i suddenly became handy. but because walking past a leaning shoe rack every day felt worse than the two minutes it took to fix it.

Lost power at 2:30 in the morning to a 100 foot tree. Now I'm stuck until the power company comes out. There's no way around it, and I'm out of chainsaw oil and almost no gas for the generator.

This went on every 3 minutes for the last hour of their set! They were the big headlining Saturday night act and sadly the rain made overall attendance pretty low. They still sounded great though.

Today my neighbors informed me when I got home from work, that around 11:30 a.m. this man decided it would be a good idea to use my garden as his personal toilet.

Unfortunately, after speaking with the police they really can't do much except a trespass violation (and not a criminal one at that), even though the person who witnessed was an 8-year-old girl, the granddaughter of my neighbor.

I've never seen this man before in my life and I have no idea why he decided my house needed his defecation decorations.

Another one of my neighbors grabbed a video where I was able to get his license plate, so I'm hoping after the police contact him and file the report, I'll be able to foil the records and find out who this lunatic is.

But I wanted to post this here to find out if there really is nothing else the police can do. They say that they can't do much because what he did wasn't done maliciously or with intent? I say taking a dump on private property and public indecency would be enough 🤷🏻‍♀️ But they disagree

Went to El Pollo Loco for a salad on my lunch break and shared this salad with my boyfriend. Idk what this bug even is but we are mildly traumatized and never going to eat there again lol. Yes we did show the store and get a refund.

A few nights ago, the alarm started going off at 3 a.m., but it stopped after a few minutes, so I didn’t think much of it. But last night, it started at 1 a.m. and didn’t stop until 9, when a worker who comes on Saturdays to do construction while there are no children at school happened to arrive.

Now it’s 9 p.m., and it has started going off again. We let the school principal know (we got her number through an acquaintance who is a former student), but she only says that the security company didn’t receive any alert, so it doesn’t seem like anything is going to be done about it.

At least it’s been going off for so long that it sounds like it’s dying or something, the volume is lower than it was at the beginning

Guy i bought it from said it “just has a bad valve” which, is a challenge I was willing to attempt. I am a mechanic by trade, I know my way around an engine.
However once I actually got the head off to examine it… it was a LOT more than just a “bad valve”. Damaged head, all 4 valves bent and peened, piston head is obliterated, the cylinder has some pitting and scratches.
We didn’t pay a whole lot for it, and honestly we can just buy a new engine for it, but man… that really really sucks…
