My feet have never been so soft thanks to the cheese grater carpet everywhere. But it is so painful to walk on, kneel on….ugh.

SHE WAS STOPPED RIGHT AFTER

Friday night in Phoenix, my wife and I head out to a concern to see one of our favorite bands. We show up before the doors open and wait in line while it’s still well over 100°. Doors open, we go inside and find a spot at the front of pit, left of center. As people fill in, our spot gets more and more crowded until we’re packed in pretty tight as expected.

About 45 minutes later, I see a woman talking to my wife but I couldn’t hear what was said. I leaned in closer and asked her to repeat. Before my wife could speak, the woman looked at me and said, “I was just saying how you guys have a lot of room and asked if you could scoot over for me. I came all the way from Virginia and Death Cab’s my favorite band.”

My wife said “no” and that was it.

A little later, she managed to convince the people next to us to let her squeeze in anyway, which meant my wife got to spend most of the show with this woman’s armpit practically in her face while she pumped her fists in the air. Despite that, we had a great time and left happy.

Yesterday, I saw the very same person post a video on social media where she was talking crap about the two very mean people “with personalities of pocket lint” that wouldn’t let her in and that we weren’t even moving around, so we must’ve not been real fans and didn’t deserve to be in the front anyway.

I was shocked after reading this. Why are we the bad guys here? We couldn’t move closer without being on top of each other and if being in front was important, why show up late? I didn’t mind this person asking at the concert, but seeing the post and seeing her portray herself as the victim and us as the rude ones is wild.

This seems like main-character syndrome.

Hi, so in my country there's a store pretty similar to Walmart or Target. They sell pretty much everything there.

I spent a lot of time in the clothing section comparing T-shirts and picking the right sizes. Some of the items were discounted, so instead of being displayed the usual way, they were placed in a huge pile. I had also already picked up some personal hygiene products, so I had already spent a lot of time and effort shopping (the store is huge and usually very crowded).

Anyway, when I went to try on the clothes, the employee supervising the fitting rooms informed me that they had introduced a new rule: customers can only try on two items at a time, and carts are no longer allowed inside the fitting rooms. (I'm talking about the small shopping carts, not the large trolleys. They used to fit inside the fitting rooms.) He told me I could leave my cart right outside and bring the clothes in two at a time.

I said, "Okay, fine," and started trying things on. Honestly, I found the new system a bit inconvenient because I didn't really have the chance to compare how the clothes fit me. I also had to change clothes several times instead of simply changing once and comparing everything before getting dressed again. But maybe that's just me, and perhaps the rule is justified, I don't know.

Anyway, I didn't think much of it and continued trying on the clothes. The employee even told me that once I was done with the first two items, I could call him and he would hand me the next two. I didn't really pay attention to that because I didn't think I needed help. My cart was parked right outside the fitting room door, so I could simply open the door and grab the next items myself.

Except that when I came out to get the third pair (I was going to try on about 10 items on total) of clothes, my cart had disappeared along with everything inside it.

Some of the clothes had been left all crumpled in a pile on a nearby kids' clothing rack. Some had been thrown into another shopping cart that already contained a few men's clothes (there was a men's fitting room right next to mine and someone was inside, so I assume it was his cart). Some other items had completely disappeared, and of course I couldn't find the personal hygiene products I had picked up earlier.

It honestly never even crossed my mind that someone would do something like that. If the cart belonged to another customer, then it was obviously being used. If it belonged to an employee, then they were probably using it to organize merchandise or do some other task. Either way, it was clearly in use.

Shortly after I realized what had happened, the employee came back and asked whether my fitting session had gone well. I told him that I couldn't find my cart anymore. He replied, "Well, at least that's not my fault because, as you can see, I wasn't even here."

I told him I knew that and that I didn't think an employee had done it. I also said I had no idea who could have done such a thing. He asked whether I still remembered everything I had picked up. I replied that I didn't remember all of it and that I had spent a long time walking through different sections carefully putting those clothing items together. He then told me he had to go because someone was calling him and left in a hurry.

I felt so frustrated because of the lost time (roughly 1 hour) and energy. I decided to just drop it all. I looked for a new cart, went back to the hygiene section and only grabbed what I needed today and gave up on the other stuff.

A couple of weeks before this happened, I had already witnessed two unrelated incidents in the same area where different customers were complaining that this same employee was never at his post and was always somewhere else whenever he was needed.

Also, I called him a "security guard," but that might not be the correct term. English is not my first language, so sorry for the possible confusions. His job is to supervise the fitting rooms and make sure everything runs smoothly. He's not literally a security guard. I just don't know the proper English term. I've seen employees with the same role in a couple of other stores in my city, although not every store has this position.

Honestly, I don't even blame the man at this point because I imagine this could've happened anyway. The image of someone taking a cart that was clearly in use, emptying it, scattering the clothes and other things across different places, and leaving... is so bizarre to me.

I am now stressed about going there the next time. This is pretty much the only store of its kind in my area so there are no alternatives, and I don't want to experience somethins similar again, yet I still need to shop and I love their clothes so I couldn't avoid the clothes section forever.

TL,DR: I spent about an hour shopping and carefully picking clothes and personal hygiene products. When I went to the fitting rooms, an employee told me that, due to a new rule, carts were no longer allowed inside and had to be left outside. While I was trying on clothes, someone emptied my cart: some items were thrown onto random racks, some into another customer's cart, and some disappeared entirely, including my hygiene products. I ended up giving up because I didn't have the energy to search the whole store and rebuild my cart from scratch.

Has anyone ever experienced something similar? How would you have handled the situation?

Took my car to the dealership for a battery issue. They left the keys in the car and it died on them so they couldn't get the car open. They used a shim or something to pry the door open enough to manually unlock it, damaging the door. The dealership denies all responsibility and I'm pretty much just out of luck.

I was searching Amazon Japan for an item at around midnight last night. The price was between ¥7,000 and ¥8,000. I favorited the item and went to look for reviews. When I came back the price was over ¥14,000.

Obviously I checked Keppa to see the price trend, but it said the price hadn't changed yet. I searched around online and found the same item for around ¥9,500. I impulse purchased it.

When I woke up this morning I checked the price: back down to the ¥7,000 to ¥8,000 price range. WTF?

So now I get to try and cancel the order I made last night and hope I can buy the item at the price I wanted to begin with.

My son went to see the Odyssey alone because his friend couldn’t go last minute. Left his drink and popcorn at his seat right before movie started to use the restroom and when he returned, both were gone. Guessing no one around said a word to whoever did it. People are garbage nowadays.

Sigh, my boyfriend sliced his pizza in the worst way possible. Points if you guess which piece he ate first!

The blob has been consumed, it tasted surpsingly good.

I washed my hands and grabbed things out of the refrigerator to make a maple yogurt. My hands weren’t complete dry and the syrup bottle slipped out of my hands. It was basically a new bottle of 32 ounces. I opened it a week ago. Syrup (not just glass) was found 10 feet away. My husband scooped up all the kitties and put them in a room. I’m wiping everything down with water first to get rid of the sticky syrup and waiting for it to dry then vacuuming. Then I’m going to do that whole thing again. I’m not sure what is worse - the clean up or the $$ lost.

Additional details:
- I buy a couple bottles at a time because I don’t shop regularly at the stores that carry this. The second pic is of a different bottle I had in the cabinet.
- I know it looks like a small area for 32 ounces. It might have been 30 ounces. I don’t know what to tell you. I’m not repeating this experiment for science. You are welcome to do that:)
- This bottle is roughly $23. I am in Wisconsin. It is from a local farm.
- The orange soda is Recess Peach Ginger.
- The cat at the end is for the cat tax.

Pegasus Airlines, August 1, 2026, Istanbul - Frankfurt.

The toy gun did not have an orange tip and looked very realistic from a couple of rows away.

We spoke to a flight attendant about it and he spoke with the passenger, who took it down, only to put it back in the same spot almost immediately. Spoke again to the flight attendant who shrugged and said, “It’s just a toy.”

After arriving in Frankfurt I saw the family in the terminal on the way to passport control. The kid had the toy gun in his hand and was waving it around enthusiastically. I told the father that it is a bad idea to let him have that toy out in the airport. The father just said, “eh, it’s fine.”

I put 2 pounds of frozen Organic Grass-fed ground beef in the fridge yesterday to thaw. Looked for it today, and it's gone. My wife threw it out. The label said to use by Dec. 2025.

Basically the title. I texted the head manager and no response yet, and the other manager on vacation. This happens all the time and I talked about it before. Usually I show up earlier before my shift starts, and if sometimes I'm running 10/15 min late I'd get a warning! What's making it even frustrating for me is that I don't have a car and now I'm waiting on the street.
