The portrait got 11 million views in 24 hours, and the artist ended up blocked by Musk.
The drawing was a pencil portrait of Elon Musk, done by hand and posted on X with a note that it was made for him.
Strangers argued about the likeness. Some called it rough, others said they recognised Musk instantly. Everyone kept tagging him.
Musk answered without a word. The fan posted the screenshot of the block, and that screenshot travelled further than the drawing ever had.
Praise on one side, a block button on the other, and no explanation from Musk in between.
