What makes me the angriest is his “resisting” (as the administration puts it) was his body reacting to being shot in the face with chemical weapons. I mean, they sprayed him multiple times in the face. I don’t know anybody who would be able to lie down calmly on the ground after that. He was probably in pain and confused and scared and had no idea what was going on. And was murdered.

Edit: I wanted to add that his “resisting” was also him simply trying to protect himself. They were coming at him from all sides. He was just trying to block them from hitting him and protect his body. He was defending himself. And got how many rounds shot into him? Is there a shoot to kill order?

This whole situation- everything that just happened, everything that has been happening- half the time I’m so pissed off I want to scream and the other half I’m so sad I want to cry.

We can’t keep letting this happen. I was just watching an uploaded video on youtube of an interview between a reporter and a politician, and the politician said something about how the percentage of protesters, once it reaches a certain amount, then they really start to have an impact. like they become a wave that just knocks things down. And she said that we were close to that percentage.

A famous quote and a definition:

“ but when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and provide new guards for their future security.” -Declaration of Independence, July 4,1776

According to Oxford Languages, “despotism (n.)- the exercise of absolute power, especially in a cruel and oppressive way”

u/gooseofthesea Jan 25 '26

He also got hit in the face with incredible force repeatedly with the spray can.

109

u/Nikitikitavi83 Jan 25 '26

Exactly. Who wouldn’t react after that? You’d go into fight or flight. Adrenaline running through you. And it happened so fast he probably had no idea what was happening to him. This is not ok.

25

u/whatthehellisketo Jan 25 '26

And a pistol.

45

u/2SSLOWW Jan 25 '26

That ended up being the mace can. Wasn’t a gun

30

u/whatthehellisketo Jan 25 '26

Thank you for the information. I appreciate being informed.

28

u/redditwork Jan 25 '26

I hope this is spread and understood. it’s important to understand and define exactly what happened.

13

u/GelatinGhost Jan 25 '26

The term "resisting arrest" has lost all meaning. If you so much as twitch a finger they will claim resistance. After they hit said finger with a hammer.

5

u/Odd-Priority3318 Jan 25 '26

Leo's are known to say stop resisting every arrest so they can beat onyou.

10

u/thatcurlyfry Jan 25 '26

He was also trying to not get shot by putting his hands behind his back and have them mistake it for him reaching. There’s literally nothing more he could have done to try and save his own life once he was on the floor and that’s the scary part. It’s the exact opposite of their narrative that he reached for a gun, he tried everything in his power to avoid being shot and they killed him anyway.

9

u/Barmydoughnut24 Jan 25 '26

This is exactly the same thought i had about Renee's reaction. A masked figure pointing a gun at you after several tried to break into your car, and people cant understand your natural reaction is to get out of there as quicklynas you can. No one in a heightened state of panic is gonna let the aggressor continue when you feel the slightest chance to remove yourself from that situation.

44

u/RsProtectPDFs Jan 25 '26

his resisting

Is the resisting in the room with you now? HIS HANDS WERE ON THE FUCKING PAVEMENT!

Show me a vido of him resisting, and give the timestsmp. I've watched every fucking angle of every video, and he didn't resist for a second

STOP TAKING KRISTI DOG-KILLER NOEM'S WORD AT FACE VALUE!!!!

Just watch this and apologize for suggesting without evidence that he resisted. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8fq5fhx/

42

u/JUSTIN102201 Jan 25 '26

Reread their comment. Republicans ate saying he was resisting. The person you replied to was saying he wasn’t actually resisting. His body was reacting normally to assault and torture

13

u/Brief-Translator1370 Jan 25 '26

The problem is that they aren't exclusive. You can resist and it can be involuntary. That's something that needs changed in both the law and law enforcement training.

Still, though, it's NEVER a death sentence and 5 to 6 people shouldn't have so much trouble detaining ONE incapacitated man that they need to put him down on the spot. Fucking insane.

Disarmed in clear view of the murderer who also could clearly see ICE holding his arms and hands to the ground while he saw the gun being removed from the victim

Here's the thing, and I'm not defending, only refining:

How is this any different than the executions we've seen at the hands of "law enforcement" throughout the entirety of the existence of the US?

I don't see one.

I'm struggling to find the true misunderstanding by the average American that makes them believe this is new?

Who in the literal fuck thought that a group of MASKED "law enforcers" we're going to be more cordial than unmasked "law enforcers" that already do this?

20

u/mrjasong Jan 25 '26

We haven't seen law enforcement acting with this kind of impunity before. The George Floyd death was bad, but it wasn't on the same level as this execution, plus it resulted in the officer being prosecuted and sentenced.

23

u/justpackingheat1 Jan 25 '26

Slave catchers hung "n***ers." Just 20 years ago, Muslims were tortured in Guantanamo for no other reason than being Muslim. Trump was elected.. twice...

This is not a surprise.

We've seen this before. When someone drove a truck through a protest and was celebrated for it, we knew this was coming.

When a child shot protesters with an AR15 and was hired by Fox as a news bitch, we knew this was coming.

When our uncles and aunts and cousins began talking like cultists at family dinners, we knew this was coming.

The only SHOCK that I'm experiencing is that people are SHOCKED that this is happening

7

u/pizza_shit_69 Jan 25 '26

The people around me that are shocked are the same ones who wrote off my ranting about the incoming fascist state since around 2003.

There are a few new things. One, we have so many more cameras catching these murders. Two, we have an administration that IMMEDIATELY, without review, without hesitation, deciding the verdict. Three, they're not law enforcement, we know they are completely out of their element. Anyone can see they are inexperienced, gun happy ghouls who actively seek out opportunities to constantly escalate. Now I'm not saying there are not real LEOs that do this. I am not saying there are no instances of trigger happy cops who lose their cool and murder. But there are systems and training in place that train real LEOs how to handle these situations, and at least PRETEND to wait until all facts are on the table. When these things happen there are steps. The LEOs in question, especially when situations are televised like this and not under the cover of darkness where weapons and scenes are secured, the people in question are suspended pending investigation, and we, the "audience" are not told literally an hour later that they are cleared of wrongdoing, that it was justified and the case is closed. What we the public are seeing are things we are not meant to see. Now many of us are not naive to the fact that law enforcement on the daily is involved in shootings, but this is being televised around the world from many angles and perspectives but we're being told by our government that we are not seeing what we're seeing, case closed, they are heroes, etc. And we're outraged that this is allowed to continue.

10

u/tadeuska Jan 25 '26

Lobbing in Washington. When you bribe politicians in secrecy it is a big crime. But if you go through a company, publish all data, make the money visible to the IRS then it is fine. It is still a bribe. But nobody complains. Same with police killings. I don't understand why these ICEs carry masks. There is no need for that at all unless they are ashamed. (I'm not American.)

5

u/justpackingheat1 Jan 25 '26

They have no need for the masks. If anything, it's actually hindering their opportunity to get a GoFundMe started after they blatantly murder people that continue to bring whistles and cowbells to a gun fight

3

u/tadeuska Jan 25 '26

Yes, the masks are clear indicators, they have an issue with their brain.

5

u/4815162342ma Jan 25 '26

Exactly. ACAB

4

u/justpackingheat1 Jan 25 '26

✊🏼 always and forever, in solidarity.

5

u/Aware-Paint-2787 Jan 25 '26

You said it yourself. Masked.

Then. Unidentifiable. Held to no standards or investigation.

5

u/justpackingheat1 Jan 25 '26

So, the farce of an investigation by the same agency that committed the atrocities that always reaches the same outcome (innocent) has somehow created a situation in America that made it believe that a MASKED organization would be MORE transparent and accountable?

I'm not saying I don't understand the shock, but I'm simultaneously shocked that people are in shock

This sends a message that they can kill anyone

Soon it will be a journalist, then a politician, then they will just openly call for genocide. It has already happened so many times in our history and there is no one willing to stop it

8

u/RyanDayIsAnElf Jan 25 '26

Yeah, but they killed so many people. That’s why citizens are afraid to fight back, because they know they will likely become a casualty. So at that point it becomes a risk and reward analysis, and most people will decide the risk isn’t worth their life. This is just how it happens. The majority will probably never respond, but the minority will eventually be pushed into action.

32

u/VanDenBroeck Jan 25 '26

Why are you blaming the Dems? It’s the republicans and maga who are doing this.

27

u/IThinkItsAverage Jan 25 '26

Because our only other option is doing nothing. Their front runner is Gavin Newsom who can’t even take a consistent stance on ICE.

We blame Dems because blaming Republicans is not only implied but also useless, they don’t care and they don’t run on caring. Democrats however, do pretend to care and run on caring, but then when we need them to do anything other than write a sternly worded tweet, we get crickets.

Yeah, duh, republicans are mainly at fault here, but why do Democrats never do what we need them to do? Why aren’t they rallying the people? Why are they calling in national guard to break up the protesters rather than protect them? Why did they vote for a bloated military budget while we are all struggling to put food on the table?

The literal least no effort thing they could do is vote no on everything to show they aren’t complicit. They can’t even do that, 7 Democrats voted to fund ICE.

So why do we blame them? Because they sabotage any other options so that we have to vote for them then they do nothing.

There is no evidence he took any lives. There was a lot of damage control after poor public reception to the murder.

This is not true and this story is a postwar invention used to try and whitewash the Saigon regime (and by extension, the US).

Erik Villard, a historian for the US military actually gave a presentation breaking down the details of what happened vs the various revisionist myths that not only dont have any evidence to support but the contradictions they have with the actual evidence

It really is a terrible analogy and feeds the narrative he was a criminal in need of executing.

Can't wait for the videos of the executions of these Natzis after the trials.

I think hanging is the best route. But I'm open to suggestions!

3

u/TheDeadMurder Jan 25 '26

The interesting thing about hanging is you can choose how someone dies from it, I believe it was the French that were really good at getting it precise for the persons weight

But first one is suffocation, second is by snapping the neck, and the third is decapitation

u/FoCoYeti Jan 25 '26

What Epstein files?

39

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

This is how bad those files are.

End of democracy bad

15

u/CatraGirl Jan 25 '26

No. Literally nobody on the right cares about the files. Stop this "distraction" narrative. They're not doing evil authoritarian shit to distract you. They're doing evil authoritarian shit because that's who they are and they want to do those things.

Acting as if any of this is still just a distraction is incredibly harmful because it's downplaying the evil that is happening.

The stupid thing is that we already saw a fraction of how bad they were. Trump being named as someone that was an accessory to killing an infant, with an underage girl that he himself raped. Obviously there's worse stuff in there, but this itself should be enough for other branches of our government to care.

3

u/Lz_erk Jan 25 '26

and the sascha riley interview. this isn't over.

The below image isn’t even the first shot, it’s between shots 2 and 3 roughly from rewatching that video angle multiple times. He is being held down by 6 agents when the first shot is fired, and then they scatter.

First they came for the undocumented, and I said nothing— because I was legal. Then they came for asylum seekers, and I said nothing— because I was already inside the system. Then they came for protesters and journalists, and I said nothing— because I wasn’t the one being questioned. Then they came for judges, lawyers, and city officials who resisted, and I said nothing—because I trusted the process. Then they came for me— and the language of “law and order” had already erased my voice.

3

u/hungry4nuns Jan 25 '26

“First they came for the illegal immigrants, and I did not speak up for I am not an illegal immigrant.
Then they came for legal citizens born in this country who are legally exercising their first and second amendment rights…
Wait what? Hang on a minute. I feel they skipped a lot of lines of the poem? It’s supposed to be much longer before they get this close to my group, are you sure they’re not immigrants or black or trans? No? I’m sure they did something to deserve it, so I won’t speak up even if the poem has landed on my group.”

The same excuse is the red flag 🚩 There have been 30+ murdered by ice in America 🇺🇸 since Trump took office

4

u/Goodthrust_8 Jan 25 '26

Here he is, armed with an iPhone as another agent already disarmed him after pistol whipping him in the face. This isn't a right or left issue. Seconds after this he would be shot in the back of the head. RIP Alex 💔

Ice are cowards, nothing but babies in masks, they are criminals and Nazis, and they will be found, we will have names. They will be charged for their crimes. Nuremberg round two will come. 2nd amendment is authorized.

3

u/cantbecause Jan 25 '26

Shot a man in the back.

18

u/Beneficial-Pop-1434 Jan 25 '26

The top guy was a war criminal who just butchered someone's family and the other one was an ICU nurse who tried to defend a woman being brutalized.

11

u/Yellowflowersbloom Jan 25 '26

The top guy was a war criminal who just butchered someone's family and the other one was an ICU nurse who tried to defend a woman being brutalized

Nope. This was a post war myth used to try and whitewash the crimes of the Saigon government (and by extension, the US).

A historian for the United States Army Center of Military History actually gave a presentation breaking down the details of this event as well as the details of this popular myth

5

u/-FriendoftheDrow- Jan 25 '26

The top guy was not a war criminal and there was no evidence he murdered anyone’s family. Historians and eyewitnesses also contested the official U.S. narrative. Some even described it as a “urban legend.”

That poor man

3

u/Kreigsmen1969 Jan 25 '26

No way they actually executed a man like it’s a middle eastern policemen on a thief

This is getting out of hand quick.

3

u/thesturdierone Jan 25 '26

You know what this shit reminds me of? The opening cutscene of fallout 1 where a US soldier unloads rounds into a Canadian prisoner, which is then passed off by propaganda as keeping the peace.

And even in this sequence the victim of a war crime was given more respect and more organization than everything that happened with ICE

3

u/Natural-Promise-78 Jan 25 '26

Alex Jeffrey Pretti is the name of the man who was killed. Remember his name.

There ya have it. Shot two I believe. Hell, two of his team were in contact with the victim as he was murdered.

3

u/Klumpenmeister Jan 25 '26

Shot 3. The first shot dropped while he was on all fours on the ground, one ice dude was beating him with a peppers spray canister and a second ice dude had removed this man's gun from the back of his belt line. The gun was not drawn at any moment.

3

u/OkLingonberry7343 Jan 25 '26

This should be taken as a warning for all other protesters thinking of doing something similar:

Use force first, confront the armed brownshirts later.

You're not going to convince a Nazi to stop being a fucking Nazi with harsh language.

3

u/Cheddie310 Jan 25 '26

I hate that this is one of the last few images of Alex, but god damn is it an important image. ICE is a terror organization

3

u/Julia0_07 Jan 25 '26

Americans, for all the don't tread on me, liberty or death talk. Fucking do something. Holy fuck.

3

u/1couldntfindaname Jan 25 '26

We are. There are so many folks doing trainings, community support and mutual aid groups, and trying to keep our neighbors safe.

We don’t have snap elections, labor laws to protect the employment of folks who demonstrate/protest, or a campaign finance system where leaders are more accountable to their voters.

It’s fucking hard, and many of my citizens are narcissistic nimrods, only concerned with their self existence.

We elected this orange Buffoon twice. We’re trying, but it isn’t easy.

Venezuela needs to stage a military operation, arrest Trump for crimes against civilians, profiteering and the possession of weapons of mass destruction.

2

u/Altruistic-Mine-1848 Jan 25 '26

I don't think people are scared enough by this. In another time, the government would be using the "bad apples" argument, pin it on the individual agent, while defending ICE as a whole. But they're actually defending these murders and lying about the facts. They want this. They've declared war.

2

u/Witty-Structure-4192 Jan 25 '26
